The Official #18 Tennessee vs. #1 Georgia Game Thread, 3:30 PM ET, CBS

“A bad loss”. How many times have you sold that load of **** to yourself. Sick of the “horses” excuse. Newsflash, we aren’t gonna have top 5 classes. Good coaches find a way to win. This team has no drive, desire, or leadership. That’s a reflection of coaching. But you keep playing the “horses” card for another 25 years.
"Good coaches find a way to win" then why bother to try to recruit higher if your coach is good enough to beat great teams while having lesser talent. Such BS.

Recruiting matters. A LOT. GA and Bama have the results because they consistently have great recruiting classes AND good coaching.

We need both to win in the SEC. You won't "outcoach" a team as loaded as GA. You're truly delusional with the "good coaches find a way"....... great coaches recruit their a$$es off. SEC wins don't magically happen like "Win one for the Gipper" movies. Power wins.

He’s middle of the pack in the conference stat wise but doesn’t make quick decisions and he can’t run Heuple’s offense IMO…8-4 is probably the best we could have done with Joe

Ultimately, it's not Milton's job to run Heuple's offense, It's Heupel's JOB to install an offense that works with Milton and his skill set and the rest of our offensive talent. That's what coaches are supposed to do. You adjust to your talent--not the other way around.

If it could possibly hurt then is it a good idea to boo your own team?
When teams perform poorly, they get booed. It is what it is. This is the reality that’s always been for every fan base. What other reality have you lived in all your life?

Joe is to Dumb at football to be a QB. He needs to be in a position that doesn't require him to process information, or at least the amount a QB needs to do, quickly.

Lol! Yea, keep firing coaches ever 3 years and wonder why you have middle of the pack talent.
Did not say one damn thing about firing him, not yet. Just saying exactly what has recruiting done for us, especially after recruiting what is supposed to be one of the best qb in the country only to let him ride the pines behind one of the worst qb in the history of the university of Tennessee

Terrible excuse. How long do we ride that one for? Sorry to tell you but we aren’t about to start getting top 5 recruiting classes. We’ve been steady around what 15ish each year? Good teams find a way to win or they don’t. Same with coaches. I’d bet that our recruiting rankings aren’t about to take a huge jump. So what now? More excuses?
Good coaches also don’t have to deal with what Heupel dealt with when he walked in. It’s not an excuse, it’s reality that some, apparently like yourself, refuse to acknowledge. This isn’t NCAA ‘23. He’s not walking in hitting the Y button every drive. These things take time. How we lost to Mizzou was inexcusable and losing the Florida was a stain, but otherwise, this season is every bit of what reality looked like. This roster was never 10-2 or Atlanta worthy. So not using any excuses, just being the bearer of reality here.

Name one player we got who would start on either side of the ball for Georgia.
None. I heard someone on Sirrius XM discuss the pregame matchup earlier in the week. One commented that Beasley is TN’ best LB but would be avg for most top 15 teams.

Thirteen 5* players to two 5* players (one hurt and one didn't play).
Please no excuses for a coach making 9+ mil a year. The great coaches win with lesser talent, win the games they’re supposed to and win some they’re not supposed to. The talent gap last week favored TN but same result, ZERO 2nd 1/2 points!!

It makes no sense. If Nico plays to the expectations everyone has for him, he will be a 2 year starter and then off the NFL after 2025 season with a year of eligibility left without a redshirt. So to say we need to maximize his 4 years of eligibility is basically admitting doubts.
Some had Guarantano as a 3 year starter & off to NFL. Sometimes high school & College is different but the Morans are not at practice.

After the Missouri game, this game turned out pretty much as expected. We are lacking quality defenders, especially in the secondary, and our QB play has been subpar all season. We have to be able to recruit better players on all levels to turn this around. While he might not like it, Heupel will also have to make some staff changes in the off season.

Then I guess you’ll settle for these next 7-8 win seasons. Cause we aren’t about to recruit a to 5 class. A coach has to give a top recruit a reason to come. These results aren’t that.
Of course recruits matter. We eventually have to be able to beat a top 5 team with a 10-15 recruit class. That’s coaching and development. How do you propose we get it done since the only way is having a top 3 class? Please let us know. Better yet let Heup know.

Do you not recall the kids we ran off due to their part in Pruitt's pay scheme? Then almost an entire recruiting class gets nuked. That's why we've got a gap in experienced players. Remember, Heupel came in and was in scramble mode in his first recruiting class. He's been swimming upstream ever since due to the NCAA slow playing us and not accepting our self imposed penalties. Opponents have been using that against us. Heupel needs another 2 classes to see his roster flipped. And let's not pretend that a top 15 class is going to "close the gap" with UGA who is reeling in top 2-3 classes every year. You don't go out and beat 5 star talent at least 2 deep with 3 stars and transfers.
There's a very real chance we have to replace everyone on the OL and DL next year. There were seniors everywhere across the board and yet we have zero leadership. Next year could be a huge struggle due to that.

All of this is true, but the level of softness and complacency is concerning. I don’t see any dogs or sore losers

You need dogs on your team that make plays, we lost bru, our defense has given up on that offense I can almost promise you. Barron gone

That's no excuse, just the facts. We have to recruit better.

Nah you’re only looking at half of reality. I agree with your assessment if the roster. But you’re ignoring other issues. Leadership isn’t there. Drive isn’t there. Discipline isn’t there. That’s a bigger problem that starts at the top.
