The Official 2014 Offseason Thread

Formula

Step 1: say stupid ass ****
Step 2: pretend like you were messing around

Read my posts dumbazz, I wasn't even arguing anything. I said I hate the term hater, then jokingly called you a hater a couple times. Hell I even threw in a Firestorm quote.

Maybe we could get Huff to take his post count÷it by his last post date multiply that by his join date minus his age to find his location. Robots know best.

My hours this week are 2:30pm-11:30pm Monday, 7pm-7am Tuesday, then came back in 7 hrs later 2:30pm-3am Wednesday, 8 hrs later 11am-11pm today and tomorrow. So I'm extremely annoyed and bored.

What do you do?

It's a small family owned business, so I have many hats. I run 2nd shift, place orders, scheduling, etc. Basically I play on my phone all day. I also do sales, which sucks cause I have wine and dine clients. But that's where I make the most money. The hours can be a drag, but it's a cushy job that pays really well.

Edit: My hours are jacked cause when the first shift and third shift guys are off, I slide my hours to cover them. We pretty much run the place while the owners get rich.

The first shift guy and I are discussing starting up our own business, I'm pretty sure a few customers would go with us. It's just a huge risky investment, that wouldn't really pay off for a couple years. But could potentially be very profitable long term.

Jordan missed 240 games and played a total of 1251 games (including playoffs).

LBJ has missed 60 games and has played a total of 1060 games (including playoffs).

Jordan played all 82 nine different times in his career. LeBron has never done it. Counting games where Jordan wasn't even on an NBA roster as "games missed" is absurd. He was off trying to play another sport. That's not the same as just taking the night off.

The context of the discussion is whether these guys want to play basketball or do other things. Jordan wanted to do other things. Welcome to the conversation.

He also quit when he was 34. He didn't want to play that badly. Something tells me Lebron wants to play longer than that. Maybe that's why he's asking for less games in a season and then he gets more years in. He's going to end up playing 30% more games, probably.

Counting injuries is stupid, IMO. It's a wash.

Also, Dirk and Lebron are huge. 82 games is harder on your body when you add an extra 60 lbs. Every time you jump up and down it's more stress on your joints than a smaller player (that may be why Lebron lost so much weight this year...longevity is on his mind).
