Best I'm finding is .45 to .50 per round. Still way to high. Are you finding it any cheaper? If so where?
I'm just happy to find it. I saw some 5.56 heavier weight 62g hollows and just about freaked. Just sitting on the shelf.....snatched em up. For awhile there I wondered if I would see anything but cheap 55 grain plinking ammo again. Come on 75g!!! Let me see you on shelves again!
Hard to come by, I'm just thankful I came into a good stock back in October 11. Picked up 5,000 rounds Federal 55grain FMJ for about 16 cents per. Haven't shot any of my Hornady 75 grn hp in over a year.
.40 cents and up is outrageous but guess we're going to have to get used to it.
Have a 1:7 twist on my rifle, it really likes the heavier stuff.....and that has become pricey.....

1:7 is becoming more and more common even in "civilian" garb. IIRC 1:12 was the original military twist until M855 came along which brought about the faster turn rate. Personally I like 1:7 for everything. (though I don't shoot any of the really light bullets)
Anyway all barrels have their own favorites. Some slower twist barrels shoot heavier bullets surprisingly well while some 1:7's will shoot bugholes with bullets even under 55gr. Of course, a lot of that can just be the bullet in question. Often bullets of the same weight but different makers shoot very differently.
Anyone have the Smith and Wesson MP 15-22? Looks like cheap fun
I have been thinking of picking up a Walther PPS. I currently carry a Glock 26 or a 17 weather dependant. Wondering if anyone has a take on them. They are VERY slim.
PPS | Walther Arms
They are a little more bulky on the top than a Glock height wise. But with close to the same amount of bore axis for the firing pin.
It conceals about like a Shield with a little better trigger. But overall, not a bad pistol.
Do you know if they are a true Walther product, or a Smith & Wesson? I know Smith bought Walther a while back.
