Both. 44-40 is right up there with the 30-30 for number of deer kills over the years. However, I'd hate to see the number of lost animals as a result of the 44-40.

Gonna put the first rounds through the 1860 this Saturday hopefully.

Knew a guy growing up that hunted every year with a .32-20. Went out with only the rounds in the lever action and a revolver in the same caliber.

Always brought home something for the freezer as well. Kind of the old adage of "beware the man that owns only one gun. He probably knows how to use it."

Here's a pretty well thought of option. The "old model" Vaquero's/Blackhawks are overbuilt and therefore a bit heavier than some but are practically indestructable.

Has anyone been lucky enough to shoot the new Reaper 33 by Arsenal Democracy? Have the ability to pick one up at a nice discount from the manufacturer and long lead time is not an issue. What are everyone's thoughts? Here is a link: REAPER 33 5.56/.300BLK

Finally shot the SW 1911 in 9mm. Sure is a soft shooter. Ran 8 mags through it with no problems (though none were with the +1 in the chamber).

I shot it well but about an inch or 2 high. Too soon to say if it's me or the sights but early money is on it being me.

The specs look okay. If you can get it at a good price, go for it.
