Or grocery shopping. Nothing like leaving your firearm and purse unattended in a shopping cart. Or a quick run into a place to pay a bill or something.

A holster is insurance. I understand if you want to carry yours in your Louis Vuitton all the time though :)

I believe in the John Wayne theory of carry. Why conceal when an ostentatious display might save some poor soul his life?
 
I don't know when I'll want to have my gun in the car, or in my purse. But I want the option. I mostly want to have it at the house if I'm here alone (which isn't often.)
