The Official 2nd Amendment Appreciation Thread

Welp after all these years, I finally found out that I'm a cross-dominant shooter (right handed, left eye dominant). It's easy enough to fix with pistol shooting, obviously, but does anyone have experience fixing it with rifle? I truly don't want to start shooting left-handed, as all of my current bolt rifles are right handed.

Sell all your right-handed bolt rifles and buy left handed rifles. That is if you want to shoot accurately.

That's the method I've used for years, but my accuracy still suffers.

Are we talking scoped rifles here? You could play with putting extra tall mounts that raise the scope up enough to be in line with your left eye. Maybe even cheat that a bit by shaving on the stock some.

You could invent a scope that zig zags instead of linear so that it would do a zig zag pattern up to your left eye. You could market it to all the people who didn't find out about their dominant eye before buying tens of thousands of dollars worth of rifles. You could call it SFD Scope Company. (Scopes For Dummies.)

Luckily I haven't caught the bug as bad as some on here (GrandVol, I'm looking at you), but it is an annoyance, as I have 4 bolt rifles currently.

Like an above poster said. Got to train yourself to shut your left eye constantly. I was the same way up until I took a scope to the left eye because I kept wanting to use my left eye. 7 stitches later and I now use my right eye without any issues.

I partially blame my dad for this since I was a freshman in high school at that time.

Smith and Wesson model 28-2 Highway Patrolman. In very good shape, couldn't pass it up. Perfect platform for the .357 cartridge IMO.
