We would have beat Texas by 25 if not for the brutal officiating stoppage and subsequent calls. Momentum was shifting that game radically and officials changed the entire complexion. At least a 10 point swing in a matter of minutes.

The Longhorns were outplayed by a great Volunteers team despite a valiant effort by Texas to make the game less embarrassing for the score.

We got the win but the last two minutes were terrible. We tried to give it away. If Texas hits a couple more shots, that could have gotten ugly. Go Vols. Nice win.

Ugly? You build leads to win games. Opponents won’t hit every shot.

I understand the tendency to think ESPN hates us but maybe, just this time, it’s not news that we beat Texas. Maybe they expected us to do it. I mean, most picked us to win.

They never got the lead back to single digits. It’s ok to enjoy a double digit win over a top 10 team even when we don’t play perfectly all 40 minutes. I promise.

Yeah they played it on the way out. Could have started it a few minutes earlier. Super energized inside TBA. Hardly a dull moment.
