The Official #5 Tennessee @ #10 Kentucky Game Thread, 8:30 PM ET, ESPN

Please post some of them. I feed off their tears.
I’ve been posting some over on the Kentucky Lost Megathread.

Right now, they are melting down over Cal not doing the postgame radio interview. Some of those posts I cannot in good conscience post here on this refined and family friendly forum. But they are golden.

Big games means the other team is good. Barnes is now 7-1 against a top 10 UK. Is that trouble?
Not sure why you are so salty after a big win in Rupp, TN lost 3 big games in a row earlier this season and against South Carolina this week, who will be ranked on Monday. The first half, their 14 point lead dwindled to 4 at halftime and the defense had no answers. They stepped up in 2nd half and closed it out.

I just don’t get the negativity. How am I salty?

We also beat Wisconsin on the road, Illinois, and Alabama. All top 12 at KenPom. Those weren’t big? Some of yall just go out of your way to be negative. This is a brutal schedule. Enjoy it.

Let me tell you why this game was phenomenal ... Kentucky played REALLY well according to the numbers ...
49% from the field; 44% for the 3 point line and note that both of those percentages are HIGHER than Tennessee....
AND yet ... Kentucky lost!!!! GBO!!!
Because we played a better all around game when Kentucky played great.
Did not like the way the QUAD Technical went down, but was not surprised.
BTO gonna have a ton to write about ... :^))))
I get flamed when I comment about officiating but I think the refs called a good game overall. There are always missed calls and bad calls. The technical was questionable imo. There were more whistles after the technicals but both teams’ benches were warned.

As Barnes said, make our foul shots And the game would’ve been over quicker.

Great win! So happy for the players and coaches. I wanted a split this week and that is what we got!

And it's not like we got a poor version of KY. They played well for them. Dilly kid was a flame thrower. They shot really well. They had a good defensive scheme for Knecht. And we still won. Amazing.
Very true, Kentucky made several strong runs at Tennessee and every time Tennessee would respond and run it back out. A great game and win! GBO!

This is the fourth time an opponent has scored 100+ in Rupp. The others are SW Louisiana (1989), Arkansas (1992) and VMI (2008).
Had to Google the VMI game because I thought it had to be a mistake but it’s correct - they lost their 2008 season opener to VMI 111-103!

He's going to take heat for that. It's part of his job. KY is not going to be the dominate force in the conference they once were, especially with TX/OK coming in as well. Cats fans are going to have a hard time dealing with that.

They did not play good defense overall. The two easy Knect inbound feeds were high school. Cal may call it quits himself this year. The game is changing, and he knows KY fans won't accept losing twice in a row at Rupp.

Tonight definitely shows how disinterested the team was Tuesday. They were either reading their paper clippings or looking forward to tonight. Maybe some of both.
The missed free throws killed us Tues. Never seen literally every player at the line miss at least one of two shots.

I'm never one to predict things, but I had a feeling Kentucky would drop this game. Rick Barnes Tennessee teams seem to get the best of Cal on a regular basis.
I haven't felt good about this game the last few days but I watched the '79 SEC Tournament championship game against UK on Youtube this morning and started feeling good vibes.

I think you are just looking for things to complain about on Volnation, I am entitled to an opinion either positive or negative. I post as much positive as negative. I call it how I see it, may not mesh with your perception of the game and that's perfectly ok!
