The Official #6 Tennessee vs. Missouri Game Thread, 6:00 PM ET, SEC Network

Can you read? I already explained this. If we had fouled they would have had two free throws, so the worst that could have happened was them making both and the game going to overtime. You do understand that going to overtime and having a chance to win is better than losing on a three?
I see. So you’d rather just concede overtime up 2 with 4 seconds left? That’s either some serious hindsight or you have no clue how unlikely that 3 is to go in. There’s not a coach in the world that would foul in that situation.

We just lost another game this exact way three days ago.

ZZ had 3 terrible plays which led to him fouling out.
Mashack CANT foul with 7 seconds nor can he let Ghouldston get to his right hand on last shot! Just force him down the side line. A MUCH tougher shot to pull off.
And Santi absolutely must make FTs late. For his first 2 years he was borderline perfect in last 2 minutes of games. Now he looks shaky every time. Key was the guy to get ball too.

Chuckle if you want, but you’re ignoring the obvious. Two pathetic losses to mediocre teams kind of remove the luster of any top 10 win

OH you were being serious!? You don't understand how the NCAA committee works if you think they're going to ignore a neutral court win over a top 10 Kansas and a walloping of a top 5 Texas team. Not to mention wins over teams currently projected in: USC, Maryland, and Auburn. This team is still fine, but we're clearly trending down the seed line.

But he could have pressed like they had for much of the 2nd half. Mo had trouble with it most of the time.

I don't think any of us really understand what it's like to stand on the FT line in silence with that kind of pressure on you. He's not going to make them all. He's won us far more games in the last five years than he has lost us. He may still have a few critical wins left in him.
More pressure in the moment than most here have felt in their lives.

Proud of the comeback and glad to see Barnes go to the small lineup. We just have to play smarter when the game is on the line and we go under 4 minutes to play.

I can’t see any way we can beat Alabama with 2 guys out. But play hard and get more minutes to the younger guys. Guards have to play better in March to have any kind of run in tournaments.

Well, now for the bright side. If this team kept rolling and went into the tourney as a #1 seed or even #1 overall with a valid shot at the Final Four or even a NC and THEN lost to a 16 seed or fell in the second round, I don’t think could take it after the events of the last year.
#1 Baseball team most of the year falls short of CWS.
#1 Football team in initial rankings gets b-slapped by SC and misses the playoff (and yes I would rather lose to GA or OSU then to have missed the playoff)
#1 BB team flames out first weekend.

Because with us being TN, you KNOW that’s how this would play out.

start breaking our hearts now and MAYBE overachieve in the tourney and wreck someone else’s season?
