It's just a recurring theme with Barnes teams. Consistent play out of our stars is not there. Last year we won or lost based on Santi being hot or cold. He's a 6 year senior and should be double digits every game
respectfully, the point is SV should probably more productive on the regular based on his time/experience here.
Well saidI think Ken Pom had Tarlenton 190th in the country tonight! Woohoo throw a parade, my god some of you are so ridiculous it’s pathetic. Absolutely pathetic. I love the Vols as much as any of you but I am not a mule eater. You lick all over it. Rim it and such. This was a horrible game and should be treated as such. Can’t imagine the excuses you make for yourselves in your real lives while you swallow this load of trash wholeheartedly.
Thank you for taking the time to type that out. I simply didnt have the energy for it. I have a huge UT Vols brother who usually is very knowledgeable about sports (especially basketball) and for some reason he LOVES to hate on SV and refuses to see CLEARLY all the things you listed. SV can have zero points and still effect the game more than anyone on the floor (now granted I hope he can do it with a bunch of points but you get the point)Vescovi is a starter on a top 10 team. Stat stuffing isn’t necessary. He plays great defense. Makes good decisions. Doesn’t have lots of turnovers considering how much he’s handling the basketball. He draws defenders away from teammates giving them better opportunities to score. He rebounds very well as a guard. His role has evolved with the addition of other perimeter scoring threats.

Agreed. I understand Tarleton St. is #192 in KenPom and we should’ve in theory beat them by more but their defense was tough, physical & gritty for the whole game and it gave us problems. Got to give credit where it is due.Tarleton played the hardest, most physical defense I’ve seen all year.
I’m not making an excuse. I for real thought they played well defensively as a general observation.
He only took 9 shots and scored 12 points. He also had 7 rebounds & 5 assists
He’s no longer getting the offense ran through him like his Junior season. I agree we need him to be in double digits every night, but he was a bit of a volume shooter. He was getting 10+ attempts the last two seasons when he averaged 12+, it’s down to 6 attempts this season.
They have a valid point that Vescovi isn’t scoring as much as we’d all like. But at least he isn’t forcing too many shots when he has an off night. Unlike Key, Bailey, Gaines.
