The Official Boston Red Sox Thread

Cody Ross is back & in the lineup tonight.

Ellsbury is taking BP on the field & Crawford should be playing in a game next week.

Another exciting win for the Sox last night, swept the Marlins. Sox are staying in the division & WC races right now, it's crazy they are still right there w/ all these injuries.

Crawford, Ellsbury, & Bailey should all be making rehab starts w/in the next 2 weeks. I'd expect them back after the AS break.

Middlebrooks is a bad bad man, can't wait to see this kid play 3B in a Sox uniform for a long long time.

I'll say this also, I was talking to another Sox fan today, he brought up that he wouldn't mind seeing us try to dump Crawford someway (may be impossible w/ his contract) & letting Nava play LF for us. Nava has been GREAT since being recalled.

Start a 3 game series w/ the Braves tonight.

You could dump him, but you'll be paying a lot of the contract. Bogearts will likely play outfield eventually

Red Sox have won 9 out of their last 12 & 4 straight series.

Buchholz & Beckett are on the DL. Crawford playing in a GCL rehab game yesterday & should be back w/ the Sox after the All-Star break.

Bard is still struggling down in AAA, I really hope we haven't ruined this kids career.

I'm excited to see how this team does now w/ a steady lineup in place.

Nava
Pedroia
Gonzalez
Middlebrooks
Ortiz
Ross
Salty
Aviles
McDonald

Looks good right now, ready to possibly get Ellsbury & Sweeney back also.

I'm not to rushed to get Crawford back, I like the way Nava is playing right now.

We really need to get our pitching in order though, bullpen has been steady but the rotation is a mess.

Man right when things start to even out it seems, the pitching takes a hit with Buchholz and now Doobie has lost it a little. Hopefully Beckett comes back strong and Lester can find it, way too many questions in the rotation right now to win consistently.

I agree, it's like we can't get things to go together all at once. Hopefully it can set up that way after the AS break.

Papi is absolutely raking this year. Hit HR number 399 today in the win over the jays and two days ago tied TW9 for the most multi HR games in franchise history at 37.

He's having an amazing year, turning back the clock to '06. It's fun to watch him this year, he's carrying this offense/team. Going to be hard to not at least bring him back for 1-2 years.

Red Sox have won 11 of their past 15 & have took 5 straight series. Finished 7-2 on the 9 game homestand.

Heading out to the West Coast to start a road trip.

Welcomed by King Felix tomorrow night. He hasn't been as dominant this year, it would be nice to put in a quality effort against him and get the trip started off right.

Helluva game last night, Morales pitched awesome, tough luck. AGone had a shot to win it in the 9th with that smash to left center till Saunders ran it down. He is looking a lot better lately, hopefully the power stroke comes back soon.

Tough game to lose last night, Ross threw a rocket into Salty but he couldn't hold onto it. Morales looked good again as a starter. Offense was shut down by King Felix. Hopefully we can bounce back & get a W tonight.

Ellsbury DH'd today in the GCL & Crawford played left & batted 2nd.

I know it was against the Mariners, but that was a very very nice outing by Cook last night. Complete game shutout, only threw 91 pitches, & allowed only 2 hits.

Middlebrooks, Ross, Nava, & Salty all homered.

Beckett on the mound tonight for the rubber game of the series.

Ellsbury & Crawford once again played in a GCL game today. Everything still seems to be on track for them to be back after the AS break.
