The *OFFICIAL* Brandon Spikes thread (merged)

That did not look intentional. UF fans in middle Tn were talking about retaliation. I hope it was for more than this.

My point exactly. This was a FB following through on a block and unintentionally knocking a helmet off. Maybe a finger scraped an eye. I don't know. But it was NOT intentional.

UF fans everywhere are talking about retaliation. Check this out.

SPORTSbyBROOKS Was Brandon Spikes Gouged By UGA Player First?

Gator's really are fantastic at coming up with excuses. " Tennessee wasn't really trying to win", "We had the flu", "Ealey poked me first", "Brandon Spikes has an injured vagi*a" ,"whaaaaaaaaaaaaaa whaaaaaaaaaaaaa". UF you will get yours, VERY SOON. And Meyer, even ESPN thinks you are losing credibility. Thank you Chris Lowe for this:

"It was good of Florida linebacker Brandon Spikes to apologize, and I’m sure he’s telling the truth when he says he was merely retaliating for something that happened to him earlier in the game. But the only thing worse than his trying to gouge the eyes of Georgia running back Washaun Ealey in a pile last Saturday was the so-called punishment Spikes received from Florida coach Urban Meyer for this weekend’s game against Vanderbilt. Spikes was suspended for a half. That’s right, an entire half. Good thing he didn’t sucker punch Ealey. He might have gotten another half against Florida International in two weeks. What a farce, and better yet, where’s SEC commissioner Mike Slive? It’s good to see the league taking such a hard-line stance on dirty play. Just imagine if Spikes would have said something about the officiating. He might have gotten a public reprimand, too. Yikes!"

That made me laugh so hard I about fell out of my chair:post-4-1090547912:

O you got to love the FU fans lol
" In any event, the eye gouge is less dangerous than the intentional facemask that whipped Brandon James head around earlier in the game. I don’t see anybody asking for suspensions on that."

Spikes gets 1/2 suspension for eye gouging - can't believe there aren't any threads about this...

The most annoying thing about all of this, is how stupid Spikes actually looks. Seriously dude needs a haircut or rubber band.
Almost as bad as the Bammers with the Jon Parker W. hair flop thing. Seriously, if you have to flip your head back all the time like a chick you should have your man card burned.

kid from oregon got suspended for the whole year from punching a guy spikes could have taken this guys eye sight for life and he got a half game suspension shows who fu really is

Seems like every game I watch that these kids with the long dread locks keep loosing their helmets. I watched Spikes button his chin strap with 2 or 3 buttons several plays last week so no wander his helmet flies off.

Seems obvious Meyer gave Spikes this slap on the wrist to try to prevent a harsher punishment from the SEC or NCAA. Here's hoping that doesn't work.

Meanwhile UT gives a scholarship to a convicted rapist.

You are a grade A d-bag and don't know your facts. I guess you can sit in judgement because of your player's stellar records.....oh, wait.

It shouldn't surprise me that you would try to deflect in this situation. I am used to the classlessness of everything that surrounds the Gator program.

You can bet that if a UT player did this or anything similar that he would be punished and would be fully backed by the fanbase....even if it was Eric Berry.

Kiffin has kicked players off of our team for a history of discipline problems that would be business as usual at UF. With all of the UF players that I have seen do drugs in my time in Gainesville, I am still amazed at the incredibly small number of reported positive drug screenings.

Ha!

Yes, but for different reasons. You guys got targeted for so long because of Fulmer and it got to the point it was just easy.

Us now because people are sick of UF. Can't blame them, really. Same thing happened to USC, Notre Dame, Miami, all over time.

Do you really not get how much people hate the Gators? Situations like this only bring on new haters and intensify the hatred.

It is amazing to me how much you and other Gator fans try to justify the douchebaginess of your program while criticizing Kiffin so harshly. Either you guys are all morons or are just incapable of facing reality about yourselves.

wonder what would happen if someone would do this to teblows slive would probably suspend him and cum would what to press charges
