Steve Young and Matt Millin were laughing at Urban Meyers 1/2 game suspension on sportscenter this morning....while reviewing the Saints/Falcons game something came up about eye gouging and steve youg said something like, "Well that might just get you a half game suspension"...and made another wise crack....anybody else hear it?

If he cuts that nappy hair of his then his helmet might stay on sometimes because it comes off all the darn time...Any time you watch Florida and a helmet comes off it is always his and he has said it is becaise of the hair...Here is how to fiz that...Cut it and he would have not had that happen to start with...Yes this happens in a pile a lot, but that was just plain wrong...File criminal charges on his butt and lets see if he has to sit more than 2 quarters agains Vandy!

The SEC won't add to the punishment, statement from the SEC:

"The Southeastern Conference has reviewed and accepted the disciplinary actions taken by the University of Florida regarding football student-athlete Brandon Spikes. The university suspended Spikes for the first half of its next game (vs. Vanderbilt, Nov. 7) for an unsportsmanlike act during the Gators' last game (vs. Georgia, Oct. 31)."

You can justify this all you want, your player sikes, is a scumbag, as are all of you who defend him. if he pulled his eyeball out of the socket then it would have been a full game suspension. Shooting someone but not killing them 3 game suspension. Car bomb and your out for the season buddy. :)

then why post a random video of tebow getting knocked over, albeit cheaply, as if it lessens the severity of what brandon "thug" spikes did?

your comparison might have merit if Spikes was taking cross-state bets that he could blind a UGA player

Is that what I wrote? No.

Vol fans would have him suspended for the season, arrested, and jailed just because he plays for the hated Florida Gators. If it was Eric Norwood that tried to go Three Stooges on Anthony Dixon there probably wouldn't even be a thread in this forum. But given its Brandon Spikes he is the worst human since Hitler.

The act (attempt) didn't cause injury- I have seen worse on a dirty late hit that did cause injury. I would agree that a one game instead of a half game suspension would have been more appropriate.
