You would think.

Maybe this has been asked already, but I'm not gonna read through the thread to see, but.....

What's with the (I think it's Chicago White Sox Guy) doing the Braves broadcasts now? I think he is the guy that used to say... "put it on the board.....yeeeessss!" Maybe I'm wrong, but I atleast know he is a new voice to Braves Television.

Who did he replace and who is he?

The "Put it on the booooard, Yes!" guy is Ken "Hawk" Harrelson.

I think the new guy you are talking about is Skip Caray's son Chip who used to work for the Cubs. Apparently a couple of broadcasters left the Cubs after some players went a little overboard last year responding to some criticism. Sounds like it got kind of messy.

He didn't really replace anybody. The Braves added Chip Caray and Ron Gant to the broadcast team.

Hell Fire, how many of those Carey's are there????

Who's place did he take?

I hear Don, so did he take Skip's or Pete's?

I just edited it into my post above, but I'll post it again. He didn't really replace anybody. They added Chip Caray and I've also heard Ron Gant and occasionally even Mark Lemke doing some work for the Braves also.

braves are up 3-1 over the Dodgers right now in the 8th. Not near enough to be comfortable though.

4-1

I think that the Gant and Lemke things were on Fridays when they do the Braves Xtra broadcasts right? That's when they bring in people to do games with them, that aren't part of the actual broadcast team.

I just looked it up. What you are saying is basically right, except Gant is actually listed as part of the broadcast team. The Braves website says that he will be doing analyst work on 17 Friday Night telecasts.
I guess maybe they scrapped the whole guest analyst thing this year, because I can't remember seeing any on TBS this year. :dunno:

Lemke only does games on a fill in basis. He is also the co-host of the pregame radio show that they do from the studio for the Braves Radio Network.
