I know I’m just a couch coach and my opinions isn’t worth the paper it’s written on, but you have an open base with two outs and their hottest hitter tonight at the plate. I truly don’t get why we gave him anything good to hit and didn’t just put him on to make a force out at any base.
That’s what I was wondering…why did you not walk him?

This is so deflating. I knew State was a bad matchup but didn’t think we would gift them three runs, maybe more.

You can’t make an error allowing two runs to score.

The field is wide open when you have our offense. We’re probably one of two teams in the CWS that could win from the losers bracket. You can’t turn a game one loss into an 0-2 exit.

4 teams all-time have made it out of the loser’s bracket to win it all. Probability suggests you aren’t making it out of the loser’s bracket no matter how good you are. So you sell out for Game 1 if you have to.

Besides, like I said, Snead can still pitch Sunday. Stamos can, too. He threw 8 pitches. Kirby can pitch Sunday, too. We have a day off. The pitching isn’t as dire for Sunday as people are making it out to be.

He can pitch again Sunday. I don’t know why people don’t understand this. Unless he throws like 60 pitches the next two innings he can pitch again Sunday.

Sure he can pitch again Sunday but it’s on a tired arm. That’s not the same scenario as him being fresh and going 4-5 innings behind Beam.

There is a positive to losing….you now know what you exactly have to do and what days you will play….Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday….one in a row….

so that "they are starting their Ace pitcher and we are choosing not to start our Ace pitcher/s, but Staff knows best" thing isn't really working out for us right now... Sure hope something changes or this will be the first question thrown at CTV during his presser.
