What this kid has done to improve both at the plate and in the field since last season is phenomenal. The difference is night and day. Took a helluva lot of work to do what he's done. Amazing.

And on the flip side, I think Burkes approach at the plate will translate well to Omaha, too. Hope what he has is catching and his mates will be able to do the same. He's putting the ball in play, going with the pitches when necessary and making opponents pay for making mistakes with him. It's no longer all or nothing with him. Can't praise him enough.

I don't know about anyone else, but IMO the loss to Evansville on Saturday, painful as it was, was the best thing that could have possibly happened. It was a wake up call, and the team looked totally different on Sunday than they did since the SEC tournament, galvanized and laser focused. I would bet that Tony V is thankful in some ways for that loss in that it made sure this group was completely locked in for the duration.

two games vs three games. We got a lot of work done in the third game with pitching and in the second as well. Helps on nerves and helps build confidence. We got a lot more accomplished in the SEC tournament as well. CTV is using the full roster as much as he can. Still not sold on what happen with Moore but it helped getting him some rest time. CTV has built a team with chemistry and that is the most important asset to have in this part of the season. Demeanor is confident. We will have to see what lays in wait this next week and how they handle it, but the pressure is not as tense as it has been in the past.
