Apparently according to the Tennessee Sports Radio Twitter: Tee has declined the offer from Tennessee...sad day, but I wish him and his family nothing but the best...

I heard that he was the defensive coordinator at Georgia, but my question is this: when was he at Georgia? If he was at Georgia in the early to mid 2000's when they won the SEC twice, he would make an excellent coordinator, but if he was the coach who coordinated the team in in the latter part of the decade when the program barely was able to finish at .500, I wouldn't want him to coordinate the defense. That being said, he's only going to be doing the defensive backs coaching, so we should be fine.

I don't. Why? Cause he is ACTIVELY working AGAINST US! He is choosing to continue to hurt his alma mater by stealing talent IN OUR OWN BACK YARD!

That is a slap in the face, anyway you spin it.

Dude, he graduated from college and got a career. He has to make decisions based on what is best for him and his family. You don't know any of the details.

All we know is that apparently USC was/is best for him and his family at this time. As such, his job is to recruit for them to the best of his abilities.

Get over it.

Dumbest argument yet.

Like saying my friend who graduated medical school from UT that is now working at Vanderbilt to find a cure to cancer is purposely making his alma matter look bad bc he didn't discover the cure at Tennessee.

Get a grip. It's real life. And people have careers/families/lives after they graduate. Football and coming back to UT SHOULD be last on his mind in making that decision. If they all line up, great. If not, them you have to respect a man that puts family/kids/wife/career/etc...first, and a CHILD'S GAME second.

If you want to blame anyone, blame Dooley. He had the opportunity to pick him up a year ago, but he didn't even return a call. Don't blame Tee for not wanting to uproot his family after a year, and also asking his wife to move to Knoxville when she is trying to make a career in LA.

If I hear another person with a man crush on Sam Pitman, im going to puke! Butch Jones system is a zone blocking sceme! Do you Pitman lovers grasp this concept? So you want Butch Jones to take time away from teaching his players, so he can teach the O line coach what to do? Give me a break! Sam Pitman is a fine coach, but he is not the only coach that can recruit and teach. If you love him that much, follow him to what ever school picks him up. :peace2:

Can you all not see this was nothing more than a publicity stunt directed by Kiffin to get some pub in the South when everything else is going down hill at USC? Why would Tee and his family parade through TYS? Then the best thing that could happen for Kiffin is for Tee to say, "well, I have it so good here at USC."

Tee was offered a good raise to come here and he turned it down. Considering the cost of living in southern California the money was not comparable. He never wanted to come here, period. It was all a publicity stunt and we have been Kiffined once again.

How was he parading through the airport? Did he bring a band and announce that he was there to save the Vols or something? He came heard What they had to say and decided not to make the move. Some of you guys really need to chill out.

May have been asked and answered but with Eddie Gran leaving FSU would he come back for right money? I know he's RB coach but could become WR coach. Great recruiter.

Looks like the official UT site has removed all coaches from listing. Hope to see official updates soon. Too bad we didn't get Tee but I am sure he did what he felt was best for him and the family.

I completely agree. He knew he wasn't leaving USC before he came here. Also, I wasn't impressed with Barkley or his receivers this year. They were suppossed to be the very best in the nation. From where I am sitting they were no better than Bray and our receivers. They lost four games with all if that takent and another year like this one means their whole coaching staff will be unemployed We can only hope!
