The Official Larry Fedora Thread I

No clue. Im not buyin he turned down an interview,im pretty sure he will interview if called. I havnt heard anything on fedoras side either. Gotta lot of friends who are good friends with his son though.

I know a coach on unc football team and he is silent. Has to be i suppose. I alo know he is a good enough man and friend that I wont ask him for any info.

Skeeter says we're going hard after Strong but still mentioning Fedora a good bit. Ruled both Davis and Golden out. Sounds like Strong first, Fedora second.

Anybody but that old guy!! Ellis Johnson was the worst hire ever. Also have a high school coach at OC. Only reason got Alford(who is overrated).

lol i got an infraction on this. wow. Inside information? Everyone and their dogs know this "inside information"

I'll like anyone who has our beloved Vols winning a minimum of 8 games a season. These 5 to 7 win seasons are really getting old.

It truly is a sad state of affairs when names like this are now working their way to the top of our list.

The reality is that this simply isn't a real deep year as far as quality available coaching talent goes. Assuming that Gruden was never really coming to the college game, the list of good coaches who are looking for jobs basically starts and ends with Petrino, and even he comes with a ton of off the field baggage.

It's sad that you can't see who is great coaches. I bet if I go search, you laughed at Muschamp and Sumlin. They can't hack it in the SEC can they?

No, I would have been ecstatic if UT had hired Muschamp. He was at the top of my list after Kiffin left.

Like I said, the talent pool of coaches just isn't very deep this year. Unless something unthinkable changes and we're able to hire Gruden or Petrino, we're still going to have one of the 3 or 4 worst coaches in the SEC. In fairness though, the conference is now SO stacked that you really have to knock a new hire out of the park to get anywhere above the ground floor.

So you liked Muschamp but don't like Strong?

Please. Butch won only eight games at UNC with some good NFL talent. He leaves the barren dry and Fedora does just as much as he does without the talent.

And what did he do at Miami with all the NCAA sanctions he inherited there? I didn't realize his only experience was at UNC....excuse me so sorry......Southern Miss > Miami then....much tougher conference...please....built Miami into a title contender before making a bad choice to go to the Browns.
