Small chance we get Gruden (unless you take the rumors of message board posters over the info of the experts, and if so that's fine believe whatever), no chance we get Stoops. Patterson, Gundy, and Mora seem to have no buzz around them and TN at all lately.
So, IMO it's likely going to come down to someone like a Fedora, BJones, Fisher, or Golden. I would be happy with any of these for different reasons, but of I had to rate, I would go Fisher, Fedora, Golden, and Jones in that order. Fedora could win here though and that's what it's all about, right?
Posts like this just make me so sad to see how our fanbase thinks we should be fine with average coaches and 8-4, 7-5 seasons...

i have a friend who claims to be "in" with one of the key players in our hiring process (i don't take him too seriously as he is a bit of a BSer). couple of weeks ago he told me that gruden was definitely "out" and that fedora was going to be our next coach.
fedora has potential, has had some success, and is praised by some "experts" -- just like golden, fisher, and others.
and, just like dooley was.
we need a proven long term winner, imo, not someone with one or two good seasons on his resume.
Dooley had one decent season at La Tech and was never an coordinator. Fedora had 4 good seasons at Southern Miss, with one of them being great. He won 8 games in his first year at UNC with three losses being really close. He has been a coordinator in the SEC and Big 12.
And you know for sure a Gruden hire would be a sure SEC title within 2 years? Gruden could come in here and have 2 losing seasons. Then what? Gruden had alot of 6-8 win seasons in the NFL and they play 16 games or more. Think about it. 60 million is a big roll of the dice.
