The Official Libertarian/Anarcho-Capitalist Thread

It's not just involvement, it's the fact that some libertarians make it a priority and they are expanding government in the process. And then specific to this conversation, I've caught this NH LP account being a petty little bitch on several occasions. What is the point of that? This is not a personal account of somebody anonymous on the internet. This is the party account. The one that represents the party...are they winning hearts and minds by saying "wE dOn'T kNoW wHaT a WoMaN iS aNyMoRe?" It's just for trolling. If the party account is just trolling, that's a problem.

This doesn't make much sense. My comments about Dave Chappelle have had little-to-nothing to do with my political ideology. I don't hold him to my political standards like I do the LP because he's not a libertarian. I have been critical of him for focusing too much on trans jokes. That is all. I also disagree with people canceling him and I've called it out.

Of course, anyone is free to do whatever they want. They are not free from criticism.

The correct position for the LP should be to say to the woke and progressive left, "We believe in individual rights and minding our own business and you are free to push whatever agenda you want as long as you are not using force or hurting anyone." When it doesn't appear that this is the position, I hold the party accountable. Imagine that, right? You guys in the GOP don't know what that's like.
You guys in the GOP? You almost always seem to deflect back to whoever you feel is on the right or conservative. Almost every single time. You're not free from criticism either. So I'm glad you understand that.

The LP can call out anyone they see fit. Just like the democrat, Republican and Green Party do. Democrat politicians are constantly doing it. But either you don't focus on what they are doing or you don't mind it at all because maybe you agree with most of what they say.

And the reason you focus on Dave Chappelle's trans jokes, which is a very small part of his act, is because you're trying to be a woke social justice warrior.

Do you know what thread you are in?

And now you're just repeating a point I already agreed to.

Even if this were true, it has little bearing on this conversation. You are the one deflecting. Chappelle has nothing to do with the point of OP. My expressed feelings about Chappelle are apolitical. Everything the LP does is political, and taking a side in the culture war alienates libertarians who disagree. Understand the nuance. It'd be like the GOP account taking a position on what constitutes the Godhead. You just stay out of certain conversations.

Have you thought about finding a different party that aligns more with your views? Because based on your posts and interactions here I think it's safe to say you might have very little in common with the LP platform.

Their platform is not the problem at all...it's their actions and the misguided focus of their political capital.

Platform | Libertarian Party

This guy is my new favorite libertarian, LOL.
He spoke to me 6 times in one screenshot from his Twitter page

Here is your problem. anarchists and fascists from countries outside the US are taking advantage of American CAPITALISM to cause havoc and send everyone into bizarro world, like those snails with the parasites.

Mises caucus making waves talking about abolishing the 15th amendment.

Once again. If you don't like their actions and misguided focus then perhaps it's time to find a party that aligns more with your views and beliefs. And one that you feel behaves the way they should.

Cool. Cool. Thanks for giving me the same unsolicited, useless advice 2x

It's the same as if you are disappointed with your job or church. Find a new one. The LP doesn't have to cater to your beliefs.

Dude, I'm not a member of the LP and I'm not joining any of the other parties either. Take your sage advice to someone just as confused about libertarianism as you are.

Lol. I'm not the one confused about libertarianism. You're the one whose ideas might match 10% of the party platform at most.

Like I said. Find a party that matches at least the majority of your beliefs. It wouldn't be that hard for you to find.

I agree 100% with the LP platform because the platform is indeed libertarian. How are you so confused about everything? I could say the most basic thing, like "I root for the Vols" and two posts later you tell me I'm a Spurs fan and ask me why I'm not a Vols fan.

Okay. Great! Glad to see you finally agree with the preamble and sections 1.0 and 1.1 that I referred you to awhile ago. Have you gotten a chance to educate yourself on Lysander Spooner and Benjamin Tucker yet?
