Exactly. These games do matter. The goal shouldn’t be to just squeak into the post-season. It’s MUCH harder to make it to Omaha if you’re not hosting a regional.

It's going to be really hard if we don't manage to at least grab this last game vs LSU. Just can't afford to be swept on the road again. If enough of those weekends add up, it forces us to sweep at home and that's not something this team can count on doing regularly. Would love a do over with Mizzou. Such a hole to start the season in.

Enough with the “Ole Miss” stuff. It’s not the norm for a team to win a title after barely sneaking into the tournament. That’s not a position we want to be in.

I agree shouldn't compare to Ole Miss. I'm surprised it took a month to figure out the outfield but now we know who and where they need to play. Infield is still struggling to let Ahuna to be the leader with his early miscues . Moore probably wants to be the man and probably should be. Shortstops are usually the leader of the infield. Still thinking we'll get better all around as we play more games. I'm not giving up. GBO

This is, of course, true. One of the reasons is that regional hosts have home field advantage. The other, more important reason is that regional hosts tend to be very, very good baseball teams. I don’t think we are regional host good. I do think we are regional good, perhaps even regional road upset winner good. Man, I love college baseball.

Not only that, but wasn't Ole Miss #1 preseason then had several guys...pitchers I think....get injured and miss a lot of time? Comparing us now to Ole Miss in that situation last year isn't apples to apples. Might be wrong on this, but that's kinda what I remember.

Well, we were preseason top 5 this year. Many of the guys for OM who pitched against us last year also pitched late in the year. Not sure if they had a position player or two out with injury. I’m sure Bianco played around with his pitchers, but I think they just improved. Dylan Delucia, who famously guaranteed a win against us after giving up 5 ER in game one, was awesome for them in the post season. I’m not saying we are OM, but they did get hot last year.

It's that time of the month for too many people. We are still a young team breaking in a ton of new starters. LSU has a ton of experience and bought a pretty damn good team. They're a step above at the moment but let's see what happens in June

Nobody is crowning them. You don’t think that at this very moment, they seem more complete. I for one, am glad they get the TAG, but running wire to wire is an altogether different story.
