I agree, curious what other right-handed power bats did we have available? Just checked the roster, only real options were Merritt, Kendro and Jaslove.

It’s an objective fact we have the smallest park in the conference and it’s at 700-1000 feet in elevation.

That’s not quite true. Baum Stadium has the same length down the lines. Hawkins at Vandy is 10 feet shorter down the left and 10 feet further down the right. Right field line at UK is the same. Founders Park in Columbia is 5 feet difference down the lines. Dudy Noble is 305 feet down the right field line. Alabama’s stadium has the exact same dimensions as LNS. Auburn is 315 down the left, and 331 down the right.

But I’m sure you knew all that already.

As I said prior to the season and again last week and today, this team will grow. As fans, we need to cherish last yr’s performance, but that’s las yr. This team has 7 new fielders. It takes time. The errors and base running blunders concern me, however, both are correctable. This team will improve and make it to regionals. It’s anyone’s game(s) after that.
