The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

Get ready for a kick in the crotch: the return of Jeff Fisher.

J/k, I totally just made that rumor up.

I love Fisher. When I started watching games was the year he took us to the Super Bowl. It wouldn't bother me at all.

On a related note, is Washburn still coaching in the league?

Definitely not worried ab it being a Whisenhunt type hire.

Trust Robinson is fully capable of making a good hire. And the franchise is in a great place for a new hire in comparison to several years ago.

The recent reports of McDaniels already putting together a staff for Indy is a narrative that I hope completely changes in the next few days. I mean last night the majority of reporters were pretty much saying that a contract extension for Mularkey is just a matter of a signature, but that turned out to be wrong.

If McDaniels doesn't come here, then I hope Robinson has someone else in mind that can let Mariota run this offense. Every player on that team is behind that man, so let's get someone to help him lead.

Fisher was just fired. He shaved his stache and changed his name to Mularkey.

There is no way any coach still in playoffs is putting a staff together.

Whether he goes there or not idk. I think Nashville is much more desirable place than Indy.

I agree that the Titans are better built right now than the Colts. All the Colts have is Luck, and that was painfully obvious from this last year. I'd also be willing to say that city itself is probably more appealing to free agents than Indianapolis too.

I was a little harsh maybe haha.

But he rode that appearance for all it was worth. Other than that SB run he didn’t do very well in the playoffs (outside the 02 AFCCG).

He did win 13 with Kerry Collins too. But beyond that was a lot of mediocrity. Not all his fault. Vince Young was forced on him.

You fire his ass if he can not see that the staff needs changes and apparently he is incapable of seeing that. Glad he his gone. Dude has problems. And is very insecure it appears.

I agree 100%..... if he wanted to be loyal and take care of "his guys"....he'd have sacrificed Robiskie and saved the rest of them.... he made himself look foolish in his post Pats game press conference

I liked Fisher a lot myself. I don’t think he needs to come back but I think he would be alright. We could do better though

I understand the nostalgia, but I do not want fisher anywhere near this franchise. I don’t want him as coach, GM, intern, janitor, or fan.

Vrabel would make a great head coach. He would hire great coordinators.

I really like this hire. Matches the existing roster to the right HC as long as he pulls a talented OC with QB coaching experience that can get MM on the right path.
