The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

Actually “adjusted” completion % would show accuracy far better than just the raw state line. That’s why these advanced stats exist. So saying “the stat line shows that” is just insanely ignorant.

And for a career 65% is very accurate. Higher than Mahomes had a Texas tech playing against lower talent and in a screen heavy offense

So Will Levis is now on Mahomes level? I see we’ve moved on from the Josh Allen comparisons…..

at the end of the day, Levis is a career 65% passer… this is not debatable.

Not really, because we have a serviceable QB right now, Tannehill's bad last year because he had a bad, pieced together o line and limited passing weapons combined with a limited running back in a league that demands versatility. And yes, I'm aware Henry is an excellent runner but he's so bad in pass pro if he's in the game the defense automatically knows knows he's running it 90% of the time.

We still have only one or two weapons in the pass game. The line is in rebuild so that will take a couple of years to gel and get the right pieces. All of those concerns are still there. We have a QB now, what we don't have are the weapons around him.

Last year's offense was so predictable I knew what we were running before the ball was snapped. If I know that with my limited football IQ imagine what linebackers calling defense on the field are processing.
Agree...And I get amused when teams have their OL in a 3 point stance then they go to a 2 point and it's pass 99.99% of the time. Might as well just give the defense the playbook.

When did 65% become inaccurate? I’ve always viewed <60% as inaccurate. See: Richardson.

Inaccurate AND inefficient with the football. It would be one thing to be 65% with low turnover ratios…. But the guy is a disaster and can’t protect the ball or be consistently accurate in the passing game….

On a side note if your so held up on the 65%, what does it say that Levis got passed up for a career sub 60% passer in Richardson? 😂😂😂

Turns out the Titans problems start with Amy because this is back to back years blowing draft picks on non glaring holes on the roster.

I dont like the pick either, I think he is nearly a guaranteed bust in fact and that really sucks but...

This whole "Im turning in my fandom card" stuff is getting way too dramatic for my tastes. It sucks, but it is what it is. They think he can help, we'll see if he can. There is no conspiracy to run out the fanbase, tank the franchise, piss off Vol fans, etc.

Levis pick didn’t individually or singularly turn me off from this franchise. It’s the pattern of beating the same dead horse year after year. You can’t even tell there’s been a change in GM with last year and this year’s draft picks so far. Add in the repeated mistakes of drafting bozo’s like Wilson and Farley with first rounders. This franchise has been in major slide since that playoff run of 2019…

How much different would the perception be from fans had we drafted a WR or Mayer (TE) with that trade up in the second round? Would we still have holes to fill? Sure. But by picking WR/TE, we give a supporting cast to the QB position which we aren’t in a rush to worry about since Tannehill has an expiring deal.

Instead we have a QB who was heralded at one point as the best player in the draft, no WR2, no TE2, and 4 running backs. All while having our line not figured out. We now have to wait until the 5th round just to see if we can find a WR that will supposed be a starter. This franchise is literally doing its best to shoot itself in the foot draft after draft.

I’d say it’s good for their division rivals, including the Titans.

I think you and I define inaccurate and inefficient differently. No doubt he can be careless with the football. I’ll move on.

It’s not Tennessee anything without some banter and bickering. I feel we are close to Vrabel entering his Butch being caught “F$:k the fans” on the sideline phase in next season or two.

I get what you are saying, lord knows I agree with you that this franchise had made some bone head decisions...but in my mind, a fans perceptions of bad picks or even bad managerial decisions shouldn't be able to cause you to stop being a fan. Occasional (repeated)? bad decisions happen in the cycle of teams and thats just part and parcel of being a fan. Putting up with the bull**** and the good in hopes that one day, you win the bundle and it won't matter.

I moved out of Tennessee a couple years ago but try to travel on the northeast for Titans road games. Won’t be doing that anymore for the foreseeable future. Just more travel and money for more road games for Tennessee Vols

We going all offense this year? I really hate that running back pick couple with needs. I still want a pass rusher, corner and wide receiver.

At this point maybe Malik Knowles or CJ Johnson are our targets at wr. Ronnie Bell would be best case scenario at this point.

To' still on the board must be disappointing for him.

If banks is there for the last round I'd be all over him.
