The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

Wouldn’t bother me even a little. Marvin Harrison Jr, Bowers, or one of the many TEs. Also the option of someone getting desperate and trading us a ton to move up

No no no. None of them. You need to invest all in your OL

This is the real problem. How many times a game do we see RT take a 3 step drop and get the ball out? It's rare. He stands back there and holds the ball and gets sacked and everyone screams how terrible the OL is when we aren't doing anything to help them, play calling wise. Joe Milton does the same thing.

The Oline is rotten garbage bro…. Accept it

lol. This is far from reality. Vrabel is gonna be here at a minimum of 2-3 years. He’s gonna be the coach for the debut season of the new stadium when that happens. Amy Adams has the easiest job in the league with Vrabel as her coach. She even allowed him to pick his own GM.

Vrabel basically has a lifetime contract here. Even if we tank this year and next get a plethora of high draft picks, he’s gonna be the one to do the rebuild.

Ok

Wait, was 2020 not one, especially given how they had a top 5 worst defense in the league pretty much across the board?

Is that bottom five comment supposed to be a bragging point? He's a defensive head coach.

Personally, I credit much of our 2020 success to Arthur Smith (and 2019 if I'm being honest)

I did see whree we could cut Dillard after this season for a relatively low cap hit considering we are projected to have $85m+ in cap space after the season
We're going to need every penny of it with all the holes that need to be filled this coming off-season. Gut feeling it's going to take 2-3 years minimum to flip this roster. During that time, they must hit on a QB for the future imo.

The Detroit Lions

When the Lions drafted Sewell, the Bengals probably had the worst line in the league at the time. Their fans wanted Sewell. They took Ja’Marr Chase.

One of those teams has become an annual contender and played for a Super Bowl. The other has yet to make the playoffs.

Honestly, I give it to Robinson. He probably had the number 1 (2019 Simmons, Brown, Nate Davis, Hooker, Long) and number 2 (2016 Conklin, Henry, Byard), best draft classes in team history.

When you’re drafting that well, it makes up for a lot. He just couldn’t repeat the performance and had horrible classes after 2019.

I don’t think so. In theory, our QB and receiving Corp should take minimal money… i would hope we bring back Henry on a friendly deal. After that, just have to pay for a new line and secondary.

With the abundance of cap we are gonna have, it only makes the Levis pick more maddening. Regardless, we will roll into 2024 season with the starting QB on a rookie contract be it Malik, Levis, or rookie.

Tyreek Hill is a consensus top 3 WR, got traded and the Chiefs immediately won the SB title.

I've thought the same thing, going to take 3 years of solid drafting to rebuild. It was 2 1/2 -3 years of questionable/wasted picks that got us here.
