And he seemed to have a problem with Ran. One of them had to go.Vrabel is stuck in the Stone Age. Great players coach, but too stubborn on his philosophy.
And no one is considering *maybe* Vrabel wanted out.
You may be right but let's not kid ourselves that Vrabel's hard headediness probably rubbed some folks the wrong way.Who clamming he is a HOFer? He’s a good coach who is going to be snatched up quickly by another team. The issues of the last two seasons are not his but the front office’s who poorly mishandled the roster.
Yep...Fired here and hired over there. Fired there and hired over here. Rinse and repeat. Are there such things as home run hires in the NFL now days? All of these teams will be picking from the same candidate pool. When you become a HC your pretty well set on getting a job no better how bad you are at it.
Sounds more like she gave an ultimatum on “you’re gone.”Vrabel wanted out. Probably gave Amy an ultimatum on what he wanted and she said nah.
Doubtful here. This sounds like more of just unhappy owner syndrome. It is weird that Amy waited 36 hours.
I do think the Vrabel/Ran relationship was pretty bad, but I also have another theory.
Vrabel was loyal to his assistants, to a fault, I wonder if AA asked for staff changes and Vrabel refused.
Yes, the team is well positioned for a few year rebuild. But it’s a rebuild, not a reload.100 mil in cap space, rookie QB, and a GM he knows well. Amy is easier to get along with than the Oakland owners, Washington, Atlanta, and Carolina are a mess. We might not get him, but it's not because we are a dumpster fire. We honestly are positioned the best.
I mean, to be fair, micromanaging was also her father’s problem while the franchise was in Houston (though to be fair, Bud used to be much worse…he used to require his direct sign off on anything costing more than $200).Nothing about Amy tells me she doesn't want to win. She's actually very quick to dismiss people for not getting results.
Chargers are positioned the best as far as players are concerned. I hope that's where Vrabel goes100 mil in cap space, rookie QB, and a GM he knows well. Amy is easier to get along with than the Oakland owners, Washington, Atlanta, and Carolina are a mess. We might not get him, but it's not because we are a dumpster fire.
