I read on other boards, it would have moved them up to the 4th. Before the game, the Chiefs were already locked in the 3rd seed and the Chargers almost pulled of the win last Sunday.

So because he's a first time GM he going to fail? And you're basing his chance of success on the failures of previous GMs? Hardly fair. He played a key role in drafting some absolute studs in later rounds on SF.

But they didn't. They lost. So there's no way we could have gotten the 4th. The highest we could get was 6.

You mean the 4th pick in the first round? They would’ve had the 5th if the Chargers won. 2 spots. If this organization is firing coaches over things that could’ve but didn’t happen, they are more dysfunctional than I think.

The late round guys:

Whyle - caught 9 balls over 11 games for ~90 yds
Duncan - gave up 9 sacks with 5 penalties and graded at 33
Dowell - caught 1 ball for 3yds

Technically, they all contributed I guess. I don’t see any studs, though. They may get there eventually.

Dowell was a special teams ace. Didn’t have many picks in the later rounds but it was a great first class

Fair enough I guess for a late rounder. Honestly don’t know the ST contributions. But a stud to me is more than ST.

He did little to improve the Oline and secondary as a first class. Ultimately it will be decided by the drafting of Levis. No way to say it’s great though. Houston had a great class.

If the owner tells you to tank for the potential of obtaining a better draft position, you better be ready to tank that game. A 5th or 6th round pick might be the difference between making a trade with another QB desperate team, or losing the player you really wanted because the team that picks before you had a similar need.

If you tell a coach to lose a game, you suck as an owner and have already fired the coach. IMO
