I think that's just the tip of the iceberg. But honestly it's very weird that instead of being at home working to make the Titans better he's out hanging out in New England.Amy getting upset about Vrabel (a former player and notable figure in a dynasty) getting fan fare over New England's Ring of Honor ceremony is hilarious to me
Gotta say no.............There is some reason he isn't a HC already. I know he is a terrible interview, and the offense he's headed as OC, has never really been his offense.
And if I hear Arthur Smith's name in the chatter...............I'll explode.
That couldn't wait until he retired because??????Lol. The guy was getting honored at a home game of the franchise where he won Super Bowls.....
If Levis is their QB of the future, they have to rebuild the O-line to protect him and develop a complimentary run game to see if he is. If Levis turns out not to be the guy, they still need to do it so the next guy has a good shot. Levis would never be my choice to do that, but apparently he is Ran's.
It was the bye..... I don't remember who we played after. It was a Titans bye week, and they beat Atlanta in the next game. Or do I have the timing wrong?
Could be because Robert Kraft will be dead when Vrabel retires. That couldn't wait until he retired because??????
Fighting with Ran, fighting tanking, trip to NE, wanting more roster control..... it's just one more thing in a long list of things that makes it look like Vrabel wasn't committed to a bigger vision with the Titans.
If she's anything like her dad, then she can probably get fairly petty. This is the same person who fired J-Rob after the Eagles game last year. Not that J-Rob didn't deserve to get fired, but the odd timing of it suggests pettiness to me, IMO.Amy getting upset about Vrabel (a former player and notable figure in a dynasty) getting fan fare over New England's Ring of Honor ceremony is hilarious to me
I agree that he should of been fired, but Vrabel was right about the organization needing to hire a president or even a vice president of football operations. The state should have made that one of the requirements moving forward before cutting a $2billion dollar check.TL;dr
It's OK to doubt it. I have been right there with you based on org history. That's why I walked away as a fan with the new OC promotion, the draft and FA signings I saw, which were in line with how dumb things were done so often in the past. I just see a major shift and commitment this time. I have no idea how Ran will do in the future. I know he conducted a good draft overall and had to deal with Vrabel's demands. They apparently got crossways. Vrabs is an industry respected, powerful guy in the org who wanted things done his way. He apparently forgot that had produced crap results the past two seasons including huge numbers of injured players, an incompetent DUI OC, another incompetent OC replacement, a continuing incompetent O-line, etc. Who knows, maybe he pushed it so he would be released.

The news about Skoronski moving to where he should have been all along reveals a lot. The run game cannot be heavy ground and pound because it cannot be locked in on play action all of the time. They cannot secure the O-line to do that and DH is at the end of his career. He is unigue, no replacement of his type available. So, continue to do this right and make the change with the roster on O-scheme. Give it all a strong chance of working better than what has been trotted out there.
The controlling owner chose to go the opposite direction. I think that is a major paradigm shift. I believe when Ran was hired she was prepared for this day to happen down the road. The quick decision tells me it was planned and they know who they want as HC. It will be somebody they both trust to change the trajectory toward the goal of a SB. Ran has more respect and goodwill in the industry than people are giving him credit for having.
The easy thing would have been to sit tight with Vrabs, add a few players and staff, put a bandaid on it and soak the fanbase willing to pay for tickets and gear. Basically that is what they did for the past two years. Amy wants more. I like it.

What I was reading from anotber board makes it sou nd like the league was leaning on her to make a diversty hire, so she used that as an oppurtunity /excuse to fire him and comply with their demands.100%. It was warranted, but the timing was petty. It was basically "we just got spanked by the player that YOU let go so now you're getting the boot".

Name the plenty that are better and availableNo they won’t. Whoever hires him will have landed a coach who feasted on one of the worst divisions in football and was, at least in part, responsible for an epic collapse these past two seasons. He made poor assistant coaching hires. He never addressed his S&C issues, and there were clearly issues there given the amount of injuries his teams consistently experienced. Vrabel is average. There are worse coaches than him, but there are plenty of better ones. Will the Titans hire one of those better than him? Probably not. Was the decision to fire Vrabel the right one? Absolutely.
Crazy conspiracy theory would be more:*crazy conspiracy theory*
The Titans org probably wanted Vrabel to tank that Jags game.
If the Chargers would have won and the Titans lost to the Jags last Sunday, the Titans would have had the 4th round pick In the draft.
Amy badly needs a President of Football Ops (or whatever she wanted to call it) who would supervise/work with her GM.This is one of the biggest problems with the Titans. There is not 1 Football guy in the executive leadership and as far as I can tell AAS is filling the role and she is a businesswoman not a football person. Carthon is not experienced enough to be GM and head of football operations. Sure the Adams family has always wanted to win but they don't know how to, the money side of the business has been their biggest concern.
