How were they doing with Alex Smith? The best years of his career. McNabb completely fell off after his time in Philly. And now Mahomes. First year in KC he took them from 2 wins to 11 with Smith, not Mahomes.

Doesn’t seem like luck.

He went 4-12 his last season in Philly, and only won 2 playoff games with Alex Smith. And Alex Smith wasn't exactly chopped liver before his injury. He was a pretty good QB.

So that’s all you’ve got that’s negative is that he had one bad season? In your mind that cancels out the numerous winning seasons?

He'll get another shot eventually, but he definitely wasn't as hot a commodity as some in this thread were thinking, myself included. Hell, two months ago I literally thought we could get a couple draft picks for the guy.

Everybody in the league saw what happened to the team even if the fan base remained engaged. Record, the team trajectory, how the losses happened, the bad OC hires, the O-line disaster, the massive number of injuries the last few years, the lack of playmakers at receiver, secondary iisues, the offensive scheme, the tension within, etc.

That will always land at the feet of a six year HC. Not all his fault, but enough of it was. The league execs saw it all and knew.

Glad to turn the page. I have hope in a better future again.

Cally was with Zac Taylor in Cincinnati when everyone wanted them to take Sewell to protect Burrow but went with Chase instead. Not totally sure OL is the pick even though I want it to be.

Also didn’t RC openly talk about moving Skoronski to LT? If they think he can play tackle, it makes more sense to bring in a weapon for Levis.

Granted I’m not convinced he can

I think Skoronski will be a good player for a long time in this league, but I want a tackle at 7.

Chase has been an awesome pick for Cincy, but it hasn’t helped Burrow stay healthy.

Yea I'm aware of the Chase-Sewell situation. But we aren't getting a Chase at 7. And I'm not sold on any TE being anywhere near a 7 overall value. With that said, Titans go out and sign Onwenu and Higgins and then yea I could see a Bowers pick. FA will determine quite a bit.
