I think you're right and I think our WRs don't yet have the experience to make up for the badly thrown balls. Mariota has let some bad ones go and Oregon's WRs (not all brand new) were able to adapt to them. You just can't have both an experienced QB and then lose every single pair of steady hands you've got. Worley needs a crutch and there aren't any around -- even D. Young and Johnson got hurt.
They'll put in back ups, but they'll never stop trying to score. To them, it's live reps for players who might have to play because of injury later in the season.
UGA and USCe would get their asses kicked by Oregon. LSU would probably hang with them and Bama could beat them. Oregon is one of the best teams in the country.
I think they will keep pouring it on. Butch had class enough to call the dogs off in the first two games, but I have never really seen Oregon ever call off the dogs.
UVa actually has a D1 defense. They shut down the same BYU team that scorched Texas. Tennessee is just too slow at LB, too inexperienced at CB, and not talented enough in the DL. Going to be a long year.
