The Official Zone Severe Weather Thread

We are in Brandon in a non-evac zone. Basically just east of the casino and amphitheater. The blue to the west is not water that is a D evac zone. I figure we'll get the wind and rain. Nothing like the storm surge we would have in our old house. We left for a few storms from there and would have for Helene and this one. But it will het hairy, I'm sure.
My in-laws are in Lithia. Looks like blue zone?

I bet if he's in zone A he won't. Zone B he probably won't.

People in Tampa are being informed and understanding what this storm is. I think Helene was enough to get their attention.
He's in a large condo building along one of the canals. He's absolutely in harms way, but feels confident on the third floor. I dunno, I hope he's ok. He's an awesome dude, who has led a most interesting life. Given his background I feel he could survive almost anything, but that is the problem. Over confidence. A person with less training might be more likely to realize it's not worth it. He's in Zone A alright and Harbor island at that. I know.... I ain't gonna call out names, but pray for all the brave fools sticking this one out.

He's someone with extreme faith, and skills, and all I will say is after it's over he's the one who could help others, and would. I don't feel good about it though.

Brings back memories of leaving Charleston for Knoxville for hurricane Floyd, which turned and did not end up hitting Charleston. We left thinking we'd meet my sister for dinner, but we didn't even make it to Knoxville til something like 5AM. It was because of that event, SC reversed the other lanes of I26, to allow all lanes to go back home.
