All evidence we have suggests that the current politicization of trans people began with people fearmongering about trans people in bathrooms and passing laws to prevent them from entering. If someone is going to shift blame and say that actually, trans people started it by “shoving it down our throat too much,” it’s not unreasonable at all to ask them to back up their statements with a single shred of anything beyond “this is true because I said so”
On February 22, Charlotte City Council passed an ordinance allowing transgender people to use the bathroom of their choice.
On March 23 the state legislature passed House Bill 2, and protests ensued. Lessthan a week later, the ACLU filed a lawsuit challenging HB2.
And you've bought into the culture war ********. I didn't cry about anything, I spoke truth. Sure, there are biological women impacted by this, but not to the level your tribe is making it out to be. I am certainly concerned for those impacted.Really? What about the girls/women that have to deal with this absurdity? You’re being the very thing you’re crying about.

The truth is there is a very small population of trans people, and even smaller number of trans women. We're not talking predators here. Trans women are far more likely to be victims of abuse. As has been said before, most women would never know they're sharing a restroom with a trans woman, but you'd think they're all professional athletes in wigs from the current narrative.
The only thing I want is truth and compassion for all parties. Unfortunately, that doesn't sell.
When you say trans-rights, are you saying that specifically in regards to bathroom access? Or are you including locker room access and sports participation as trans-rights?Saying you shouldn’t discriminate against someone for being trans (or based on age/race/etc.) is not “shoving trans issues down (anyone’s) throat”
It was opposed to protect small businesses and essentially the single-sex bathroom in the way the ordinance was written. Before the ordinance of course, trans individuals were not being discriminated against as they could use the bathroom of their biological sex.The Charlotte ordinance said don’t discriminate, if the bathroom genital inspector crowd isn’t discriminating then there would be no reason to oppose that ordinance
so the minority of women who have been attacked is lamentable but not enough to be worth taking action to protect. And you've bought into the culture war ********. Why should the majority that are real females be required to cater to the mental illness of males pretending to be female, which you yourself claim is a small number of the population? And you've bought into the culture war ********. Where the hell did you find that take in my words? I have posted here multiple times I am against trans folks competing against biological women/girls. I do not believe they should share locker rooms, either.so the minority of women who have been attacked is lamentable but not enough to be worth taking action to protect.
but the minority of trans who have been is attacked is lamentable as well as enough to be worth taking action to protect?
seems like there is a threshold of acceptability you are willing to accept, and take exception to others having a different standard. you are also willing to accept actions that impact one group, but not willing to accept actions that impact another group.
I have a question.. Do you remember heading about that lady that blinded herself because she wanted to be disabled??? Do you believe she should be labeled as a victim?Where the hell did find that take in my words? I have posted here multiple times I am against trans folks competing against biological women/girls. Saying trans women are the biggest victims in all this is truth. That doesn't mean I don't care about, or support, the concerns of biological women.
You guys want a boogeyman, and trans people are today's incarnation. Never mind the abuse and murder rate they already endure. Let's go ahead and make their lives more unbearable by demonizing to fuel culture wars. Always need that red meat.

I'm not trying to argue with anyone here. All I'm saying is trans folks are people deserving compassion, too. They are not the evil predators they're being made out to be. This doesn't mean I think they should share locker rooms and athletics with biological women.
I'm sure it's no shock, but I know many trans folks, mostly though LGBT nonprofits we support. I care deeply for them and have seen the impacts of lies and hate on their lives. A few have left FL the past couple of years due to the state-driven culture wars. They're an easy target, so I'm going to stand up for them when I can. Those of us accustomed to prejudice and hate should stand up for others in the same boat.
That road goes both ways. Maybe try less victimhood and more self awareness. People are being asked, or even forced, to normalize insanity to coddle a radical group. Do you think trans people, or whoever, would ever be ok with people not normalizing these issues but being tolerant and accepting so long as the radicals were aware there are consequences for fulfilling their delusional? Something like you know you’re a man that can pretend to be a female as long as it doesn’t infringe on real girls/women in any way?
