Good looking dog, BUT,
I will see your "cute"and raise you adorable:
Speaking of trails, anyone have recommendations for a good traction shoe for an overpronator/flat foot? I normally run in Asics Kayanos and love them.
Touche. I'll call it a push...tie goes to the speedster
Honestly, I've never had a "big" dog before Mazzy (although she isn't exactly huge). I really enjoy spending time outdoors with her, and she has become a real part of our family. We look forward to camping with her this Spring, and I'd like to get out for some trail runs (which would be a new thing for me). I know she would eat it up -- no pun intended.
Glad you share in the love of our canine companions.
I feel like I am in a bit of a rut. My 5k times have slowed down markedly since those PR's I ran last month. I don't know what happened. I've changed up my route a bit and it's more difficult, but my tank feels empty right after the first mile. Maybe I run better later on in the day than these noon runs. I dunno, it's not so much frustrating as perplexing.
How have you been eating? I have found when I eat terrible my running seems to suffer.
About the same. No real junk food or anything, but I must say that I eat better before I run in the evening. In the evening I have a clif bar and plenty of water about 40 minutes before my run.
I dunno, it seems like I run better and feel better in the evenings.
I hit a wall with my times and distances a while back and started taking Accerlade. Seemed to help. I take it now before my runs. It's supposed to help during and after with recovery. Supposed to help your muscles recover and rehydrate faster.
I tried some of those Gatorade chews yesterday before my run. Felt like a had some more energy but not sure if it was worth the money. A pack of 6 (which they recommend eating all six chews before exercise) was a $1.99.
