The Runner's thread

I've rarely run a trail race that was within a .1 of the advertised distance.

The trail 10k races I've done before were 6.3 and 6.8.

FWIW, the extra .6 miles yesterday were the most difficult, because I knew the finish line was coming but couldn't see it.

Yup, mine was the same. Hit 13 miles and couldn't even see the end of the forest. Then I came out of the forest only to realize I still had to run down to a pond, around it and back up the field.

2.26 at an 8:19 pace. Trying to decide if I like the Brooks Glycerin 11's as much as I do my 10's. The left shoe doesn't feel as comfortable as the right. Thinking I may send them back. I have a week to decide.

3 mile group trail run Wednesday and 3.3 trail run today. Have a mud run Saturday. Pretty excited about it. Didn't think I was going to get to run but someone dropped out so I'm in.

Finished the team mud run in 48:09. Would have been way faster but had two members of the team were not runners at all. Had to slow down and wait for them a lot.
