The Runner's thread

Ran about 10 miles over the weekend, unknown pace. Saturday in my new Altras and today in my Brooks. I definitely like the Altras and can't wait for the trails to open up.

They won't let people run on the trails? I can see preventing bikes but wouldn't think running cause that much damage

What is y'all's favorite brand of running shoe and how much do you normally spend on a pair?

I prefer Brooks because they seem to fit my feet the best. I usually ask for running shoes as a gift but they usually run around $120 bucks.

If you are looking to get some shoes my suggestion would be to find a running store close to you (like Fleet Feet) and have them fit you for shoes and try on some different brands to find what feels good on your foot.

Hope this helps :hi:

Saucony kinvara

So light, they are a little above a minimalist shoe

Generally they are around $100 but if you get an older version you can find them for $80 or if you go to a rock and roll series expo they normally have them cheaper

2.7 @ ~12:00/mi in the woods tonight. I was pacing the girls short/slow run and had to make sure all of the new people got back to the parking lot safely. Legs were pretty dead.

2.7 again, same trail as last night. 28:16 with a 9:24 1st mile split... I started hard with the fast group to see how long I could go.

I don't mind using a track every now and again to change things up but it gets boring quick. About three miles is my max on a track.

I've done one. There's a 24h race this month that my gf wants me to run with her at a local track, but there's no effing way. She won it last year with 104 miles...
