3 with some good hills. Felt good last night even though it was pretty darn cold. I think it was about 36 degrees about the time I was running.

3 miles with no good hills haha. But, it was 29 with a real feel of 17. So I'll call our runs a push Smokey.

:lolabove: Its finally getting to where I have to wear some of my cold gear stuff to run in.

Hoping to get four in tonight. Supposed to be around 40 about the time I run so it shouldn't be that bad.

4 last night at 8:05 pace. I got a fitbit for Christmas and I went yesterday on lunch and upgraded it from the charge HR to the Surge. Last night was my first run with it. I was pretty impressed by how accurate it was. I think I am going to enjoy using it instead of my phone and the runkeeper app. I think I will still use the runkeeper app to keep up with my total distance for the year though.

6 last night at 8:07 pace. Felt good through out. Legs are a little sore this morning but I think if I can get a good stretch in tonight most of that will go away.

3 last night with some good hill climbs. Need to continue to run these hills on Monday because I feel like it helps my runs the rest of the week.

5 miles, 43:19. I wanted to die the first two miles, looked at my watch and realized my times weren't really all that bad, so I pushed it for the next three.

Gotta love runs like that. Push through and able to finish. When your time is better than you were expecting or better than it was feeling that is just icing on the cake.

saw a quote yesterday morning that read:

"On good days I run hard. On bad days I run harder."

That was shortly after I made the post about getting my butt in gear. I bailed on a run the day before and then slept in instead of getting up and getting my run in. Fortunately got a long lunch to do it. Just make that first step!

I got a Fitbit surge for Christmas and have been running with it a few times. Last night I thought it might die during my run so I ran with the Surge and my phone with the RunKeeper app. Now starting off they were only about .02 apart from each other. Which isn't bad and I wouldn't really worry about it, but as the run went along they started getting farther apart. By the end of the run they were over a .10 apart. My question is which one do you think would be more accurate? Its not a huge deal to me since they are only about a .10 apart after a run. Just wondering which one y'all think might be right.

I read about this somewhere. Due to the fact that your phone is constantly searching for cell towers, it's believed it would be a little off, while satellite GPS models like your fitbit would be much more reliable.

9 miles yesterday, 965 to go.

I believe most GPS have a 5% window in accuracy. So 1/10 of a mile is well within the limit.

6 Saturday morning at 8:03 pace. Six mile runs are getting easier so it might be time to look at adding some distance on my longer runs. 38.4 for the year.
