I wore the new jacket and pants yesterday for the first time and literally wondered how Drum, Alaska and some of the colder spots in OCONUS duty stations would work with this stuff. I think they will likely mandate some sort of change soon.
6 last night at 8:04 pace. Man it was a perfect run last night. I felt like I could have kept going and if I had the time I probably would have gone at least another mile. Pretty proud of that run last night.
This run puts me at 43 for the month and 521 for the year. Still got quite a few to go to hit that goal of 600 for the year.
2 miles Thursday, six miles Friday, six more this morning. My every day attempt has failed, but I'd rather be able to rest my legs and get them rested for the longer runs anyway.
6 miles Saturday morning. My almost six year old rode his bike this whole way with me. He complained a few times but made it the full distance. I was proud of him.
Reindeer Ramble 5k. 25:55, a PR by 1:33, and good enough for 3rd in the 25-29 age division. Ran 4.15 miles yesterday, 6.6 Thursday night, and 2.5 Wednesday.

The same saturday the vols defeated vandy in Football I ran on the treadmill at 24 Hour Fitness. I was very surprised to see my average heartrate was a new record high of 177.
The highest average hr I ever achieved when running on a treadmill. I do feel inspired to outdo that record by getting my average HR to higher than 177. 200 would be amazing.
Yes. I didn't think I would get an award but it was a small race, maybe 150 participants. About 10 people in my age group. Overall winner went 19 minutes. My age group winner went 19:30. Buddy of mine won the 30-35 group in 21 minutes. I'm used to being close to last in my age group.
Edit: I'm also 225 lbs. Pretty sure I was the biggest person running the race.
6 miles last night at 8:12 pace. Good run after being off for a few days. I don't want to get too far behind because I still need a little over 38 miles to make my goal.
