After that last turnover, I heard him yell the OP's name in anger.

Unfair, IMO: fans shouldn't have the same standards as NBA scouts. You can win a lot of games as a college player and still not have the tools for the pro game.

Tonight is a perfect example. He simply hasn't shown up.

It never fails. Somebody starts a thread, and the topic of said thread decides to **** the bed.

Of course tonight ole scotty reverts back to his, lazy, no effort, stupid decison making, turnover game... Come on Scotty, it's time to play consistently!!!

Yo Scotty if you read this, how about trying in EVERY game.

Midfielder, why don't you become a Vandy fan? Rag on your boys when they are down, and celebrate with them when they are up.

They're off to a hell of a start despite tonight's letdown. It happens.

Stop hating on the kid. He's a good kid and he had a bad game. Some great fans on here. Really lucky to have you.

i, starter of this thread, posted prior to your post. so good job on calling out scotty supporters bro. secondly, its called an off night. And you obviously know what your talking about when you call him out for a turnover game.... o wait... he had less turnovers tonight than his average for the season. good try though.

sorry guys, i guess i was not aware that consistency meant LITTERALLY every single night... God forbid the kid have his first off night of the season.

This is why I hate this basketball forum, a bunch of retarded *******s who expect us to be world beaters night in and night out. Would you like UT hoops to return to the early 90's? We're 7-1 with wins over Pitt and Villanova.

He wasn't even showing effort tonight except for a few plays. He needs to show the killer effort that he had against Nova and Pitt.

"eat crow" huh?

Yeah, same ol Hopson. Disappears for no good reason. Lazy and lackadaisical.

This thread is NOW for the person who wanted everyone else to eat crow.

I still say IF (big IF) he gets drafted he will be out of the NBA in 2 years or less. He doesn't have "it". He has the ability, no question. But he doesn't have the mentality to be a great player.

Would we have beaten 'Nova or Pitt without Hopson? I'm not surprised, coming from you ....

Everyone has rough nights...remember when everyone freaked the **** out when Dwayne Wade went something like 4-49 over a three game span?

Is tonight an "off night" or was Pitt an "on night"?

That's the question. I am going with the 2nd choice.

Tobias Harris. Bottom line.

But you can't come on here calling people out for when he is playing good, and not expect to hear it when he has an awful game. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

what you dont seem to understand is that one off night does not make him a consistantly bad player. it just so happens that the game occurs right after i start the thread, blinding people like you from seeing the big picture. If his off night came on the first or second game of the season, instead of RIGHT after this thread was started, no one would be saying this crap. 1 game does not make you inconsistant.

IIRC, Tobias Harris eliminated himself from a key part of the game because he got in foul trouble. Then, upon returning to the game, he missed at least 2, maybe 3 close range, key shots within the last minute or two.

We're just stating this is what he has done since he has been here, play good then play like this. What if he goes in a stretch like this for 5 or 6 games, like he has in years past.
