If the majority of the players didn't want to visit, why have it in the first place? Maybe he is posturing just a bit in cancelling the visit himself, but the players saying they didn't wasn't to visit were posturing as well. It goes both ways.

Maybe all future champion visits should be cancelled if all they're going to be used for is making a political statement. Enough of those come from politicians that I personally don't need to hear or see them from athletes, celebrities, comedians, etc. If you so truly want to express your politics to the national audience, run for office.

Every single word of this goes both ways. Just as not every Trump supporter is a "racist redneck," not every Democrat is an "SJW loser." Just as many people supported Trump because they don't want to be on the same side as some SJW, many people supported Democrats because they don't want to be on the same side as some neo-Nazi. All of that reasoning applies to both parties; what you're presenting as critical thinking is more like arbitrarily picking a side, just like most everyone else.
