The Thread Where People Argue About Kneeling in the NFL (merged)

Sometimes meeting with the President helps...oh and it relates to part of what the players are protesting.

Trump commutes Alice Johnson'''s life sentence after visit from Kim Kardashian West - Axios

And yes she’s an idiot but so are most of the players. When the leader of the free world is willing to give you his ear for 30 seconds maybe you can make a point.

This is not comparable. He was already friends with Kanye and they are Trump supporters. How is this relevant to the NFL who he has been fighting for months? What would 30 seconds get them?

Claiming what, their heroism? That’s not the point. The resounding message is WHY Trump is POTUS. IDGAS if they kneel until callouses are worn onto their knees and whores blush in admiration, save the political stunts for an appropriate platform and bring them to the polls.

A faction of the country espoused the same self-entitled hubris as these overprivileged bastages. That is the deafening, cacophonous message, and these fools don’t even see it.

Don’t get your drawers wadded over a tweet/meme. Most of them aren’t lauded for unequivocal accuracy.

Many see it more as a last stand.

Trump won because enough people are gullible and unthinking enough to view this tweet as even remotely approaching the reality of the issue.

Trump plays you guys like your idiots and it doesn't even seem to phase you. As soon as someone from the left hints that you may not be using your brain you go apocalyptic.

Why don't people get that every time they dismiss Trump voters as being dumb, they're just feeding the elitist narrative that people backlashed against in the first place?

How do you react to the tweet? Some of you act as if the tweet is true and indicative of how Trumpers feel. How should some one combat that? It's an ignorant tweet that reflects the division with which Trump works so diligently to create.

And to think you guys accuse the left of thinking with their feelz....that is exactly what this person is doing along with every person that agrees that this tweet has any relevance.

So, it's your opinion that anybody on the side of not wanting to see their heritage destroyed (by tearing down a harmless monument that has stood for 100 years) is automatically a bad person? You are a bigot.

Are you serious with this nonsense? Tell me you are not this naive. The organizer specifically said the rally was held to unify the White Nationalist Movement in the US and was attended by neo-nazis, klansmen, white nationalists and white supremacists.

If you want to defend them, that's your business but we obviously now know where you stand.

I stand on the side of common sense that tells me that statues can't hurt anyone.

You and your side are no different. As someone who is apolitical and really doesn't give a f*** about either party or any of you for that matter, it's absolutely laughable how naive and gullible you are and to sit here and pass judgment as if you and your side are somehow superior.

Wake up, the establishment, both R and D, don't care about you or your community. We need to get back to local and state representation as DC is not the answer, and if you feel differently then you are the lemming those schmucks in DC count on to keep them employed.

Make no mistake, they laugh at all of us when they are at their cocktail parties and they are both one in the same, just under different disguises.

That's a pretty neo-Nazi-friendly way of framing Charlottesville

I feel pretty sure that not everyone there was a neo-Nazi. Some wanted to preserve history, some believed in state's rights, some had relatives who fought for the Confederacy. Some on both sides may have been looking for a fight. Some on both sides were good people. Some weren't. Kind of like this forum.
