The Thread Where People Argue About Kneeling in the NFL (merged)

Especially true for Trump (The Ultimate Culture Warrior). Culture wars consume the news cycle with both bases rallying to their corner. Trump has never shown an inclination to expand his base of support; he just wants to keep what he has passionately committed.

Kinda like the mainstream media’s passionate commitment to Russian collusion, they’re too deeply invested to let it go...even though anyone with common sense knows it’s a hoax and the former administration very likely weaponized the intelligence community to spy on and discredit a political opponent.

Yea ok. Again you can disagree with them. They are protesting and it’s part of the National convo. You think they hate the military? Hate the song? Want attention? They get plenty of attention.

Let me first say, I don’t like injustice, there’s millions of people that experience some form of it everyday for numerous reasons.

Now with this kneeling matter...It’ll fade out of the Natty conversation, when the media realizes they can’t stir any more drama for clickbait.

See the problem is every question your raising. It goes off into tangents, controversy and divisiveness in some cases. What most fans want is to keep politics out sports. It’s that simple.

You've changed your avatar. Is that Leonard Little standing over an Auburn player in the '97 SEC CG? Nothing like the good ole days.

Sure the fans the do. The players are saying no. And the NFL has a CBA to deal with. The players and owners own 50% of the business. Now when they have smaller budgets bc of a 20% drop in viewership we will see what the players resolve is. I guess they will back down.

It definitely is attention getting but thats it. And if this were a legit protest, then I would be all for it.

So why are they doing it? They aren’t getting sponsorship deals from it. Some are not getting signed bc of it. They believe there is an issue. It has zero to do with the anthem. It’s how they chose to get attention. Which is the whole point of a protest.

...and this was a big bunch of nonsense, by the way. What are you even talking about?

Ya, finally added an avatar. Yep that’s Leonard Little, was gonna do my man Al Wilson, but that LL pic popped up of him laying out the Auburn player ( think you’re right on 97’ SEC CG... definitely brought back the glory days. :good!:

Lets take the originator Kaepernick. He lost his starting job as a QB, career took a dive and all of a sudden he starts the "protest." For a couple of years, he was being talked about as being one of the best QBs in the league. Where was his "protesting" then? Nowhere to be found.

If it has nothing to do with the anthem then why kneel at that point? These players know how important the anthem is, so they use that time to pull their attention stunt. These players who arent getting signed are either not good enough or are breaking the rules of their employers.

Kap should be a starter for several teams not to mention a backup .

They get on a knee to get you to react. Even. If it’s bad.

Politicians will do anything to take the attention off the $20 trillion debt.

National anthem, who is going pee in which bathroom, gay marriage, abortion....they love it when everyone gets riled up over that type stuff.

Neither side cares about these issues, they just want us all to stay in a perpetual argument over it.

Bingo... someone finally understands what is going on.

You should care as much about an NFL player kneeling or standing as you do about Russian bots affecting the 2016 election.
