So why are they doing it? They arent getting sponsorship deals from it. Some are not getting signed bc of it. They believe there is an issue. It has zero to do with the anthem. Its how they chose to get attention. Which is the whole point of a protest.
It's pretty effective at getting grumpy old white men to b**ch and whine like 3-year olds.
Yes...
What does that have to do with him being able to play on Sundays?
You answered it. He can make his own choices, so can teams. Truth be told, hes replaceable with equal and better talent, along with no controversy.
Honestly, teams dont want the potential headache. Theyre in the business of football, not identity politics.
Actually, as a protest, it has been quite effective. As to changing anything it is an abysmal failure. The biggest question to Capperdick as I have stated before is 'how will you extricate yourself from this? What 'change' will you have to see to declare your protest a success?' The whole thing from the get go was an emotional knee jerk that accomplished nothing other than to suicide his career.Remind me again what protesting at a football game for 3 minutes is ever gonna accomplish?
Awareness of what? The kneelers have become the focus, not their protest.
