Petition Asks Super Bowl Halftime Acts To 'Take A Knee' In Support Of Colin Kaepernick

Maroon 5, Outkast's Big Boi, and rapper Travis Scott will perform in the Super Bowl hafltime show, despite pleas from celebrities like Amy Schumer and Rhianna to "boycott" the event over the NFL's treatment of out-of-work second string quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

But that doesn't mean social justice warriors are about to let the three performers — and any other "special guests" who might make an appearance — off the hook. If they insist on performing at the Super Bowl, the SJWs now say, the least they could do is "take a knee" in support of Kaepernick's plight to end institutionalized racism.

Complex reports that a group called "Unstrippedvoice" has started a petition requesting that performers who insist on lending their talents to the National Football League demonstrate their commitment to wokeness by making a public political statement during their show.

What kind of political bullshi**ery will Maroon 5 incorporate into their halftime show? Symbolic kneeling? Black lives matter t-shirts? ..... why can't we just have a freaking sporting event or musical performance free from ANY type of political statements and etc?

Who cares? Why does it make a difference what your job allows and what theirs allows? Stop being such a busybody. Life isn't equal or fair across the board. Deal with it.

Well from all the crying he has done about not getting to play , I’d say he cares . From all the viewers the NFL lost over him being him at his work I’d say they care .. seems like a lot of caring going on .

Now as for you telling me to stop being a busybody ...Nut up man , I have an opinion . You see how that works ? 😉

When you tell your kid to stop being so bossy to a sibling and then they pull this line on you, are you stumped?

My kids don’t tell me to “nut up because people have opinions” . They’ve been taught how stupid it makes you look to tell someone that and then turn around and try to tell someone to mind their own business . You do see what you did wrong here , right ?

All that says to me is that we have a lot of people on both sides of the issues that need to realize our country has far bigger issues that need to be addressed outside of a flag.

It was never about the flag for KAP . They have access to any media outlet they want with one phone call . He could have had all the airtime he wanted outside of “ work “.

He didn't go out looking for media attention to begin with. The media came up to him and asked him what was going on and that is how it all started.

Clearly people care. GB is disgusted, so he cares.

Has anybody ever said "who cares?" When they agree with the opinion?

Who’s GB? An athlete or actor’s opinion means less than anyone else’s especially in politics since they live in a fantasy world. Someone raking in millions a year talking about oppression or inequality is a joke in itself.
