The Thread Where People Argue About Kneeling in the NFL (merged)

Im not exactly sure anyone is required to express thanks. However, the article clearly says its about police and what he perceives as racial injustice, not the military.

Its just another washed up, entitled athlete who is trying to stay relevant anyway he can. Welcome to the loser club Foster.

I'm down to streaming a few games, ditched cable a year and half ago, so pro sports I don't generally do for a few years. Nba i have no idea even who the players are, except maybe 5 of them. Lol

Don't watch many sports and didn't go to UT.

I never wanted any thanks, but I sure as h*** wouldn't want any disrespect to the ones that didn't make it home. You should give ur thanks to them by standing. They should move people like u to the middle East or put u on the front line.

Lol move people like me to the middle east and put me on the front line huh? Been on the front lines before, i wouldnt mind going back. E-9 pay tax free is pretty nice.

Its what we fight for brother, they can do what they want.

Im a police officer as well. Still doesnt bother me. I wish they would use their platform for something positive and encourage unity instead of divisiveness but thats their choice and what they are free to do.

I'm not a fan of kneeling during the national anthem, but I think you've summed up the most reasonable view on the matter.

In a nation of individual liberty and personal freedom we aren't always going to agree with each other, but having some understanding might actually be the best way out of this mess.

"But when an entitled group that spends more time beating their wives".... not too suckin fart but IMHO one is claiming ALL NFL players when written in that context....if wrong in my assumption so be it, otherwise, I also stand by my statement.

As for this thread discussion relating to the anthem....play ball !!

So be it then, cause I say you're wrong..

You have no idea the passion someone like myself has for this issue. Way beyond arguing semantics cause I don't really have a point

Why is a black man supposed to be grateful?

Well Stevie Wonder is black. And he should be extremely grateful for what he has accomplished in his life. Oh and also, he should be even more grateful for the police that protect him. He should also feel grateful to be living in a country that allows him to do and say the things he wants.

But hey, its always cool to bring a persons political views into it. As long as its to make erroneous statements about Trump or Republicans in general right?

You're stumbling over semantics.

If you care about your rights, you must support them for others or sit on the sidelines while conscientious people do it for you.

They can do whatever they want, now their employer might have a different opinion, as well as the audience. This has nothing to do with rights or a government restriction. The ones that are coddling are pansies, the ones that obey the Orange man are nothing but cowards at this point.

I can't boycott what already don't watch.

There is no improper government restriction on them, they can speak away.

He should be no more grateful then you or I. He probably also has a different perception then you or I. His dad was treated as a ****** and second class citizen.

He should only be grateful to himself and his fans. No one 'allowed' him to be blind and a genius. That was him.

I emailed the Titans and said they would lose my support if they do the crap they did again. Apparently alot of fans did. Kneel all you want, but get your butts out there.

Losers who are more successful than just about all of us.

They wear tights out in public more than I do for sure, and the are very successful at grabbing footballs out the ass checks of other grown men. Imagine how many guys asses Tom Brady has felt up over his career, he really likes to get up in there.

Imagine how many people will remember them. Imagine all the good lots of them do. Imagine the schools Lebron has helped in Acron. Imagine how so many of them have done more to help this world then you. They have helped this world more then you and me.

Because that's the truth. You can imagine that you would do more but no one knows that. So keep ripping on people who will have left a greater impact on this earth. They aren't all good. Many are bad people. Many aren't. And when you watch LSU they are wearing the same uniform and touch each other the same way they do in the NFL.
