The Walking Dead

Holy crap; I’ll give TWD kudos for that ending. Did not see that coming.
Holy Sh*t I didn't see that coming and The Hollywood Reporter says the ending isn't supposed to be taken as a cliffhanger. They are really going to do it. I'm still stunned.

The show is going to stray far away from the comics now. I still can't believe the writers had the balls to do this. TWD just got exciting again.

We’ll see; apart from the ending I thought the episode was too long and once again there wasn’t a big reason to add 30 minutes to it. But it was still better than the previous weeks. I did laugh at Rick asking Negan if he ever shut the hell up; seems like a nod to the audience who has complained how annoying the character is.

I wish whoever in the team who loves the artsy dramatic close ups would stop getting their way, and I so wish Eugene would get killed so I wouldn’t have to listen to him anymore. His act is grating.

I will also give kudos because towards the end they did successfully set up that you didn't know who was in real trouble. For at least a moment I legit thought Ezekiel or Michonne one was in real danger of being the shocking death (if one was going to happen).

But I wil knock them for (unless I missed it somehow) not really explaining how the Saviors got out last week. That actually is pretty bad now that I think about it more. Again, if I missed it someone fill me in.

Also....how many freakin' Saviors are there? It's like an endless army of extras pouring out.

I never caught how the Saviors escaped either. I guess Eugene was the reason they got out, but they didn't go in to any detail

So the cliffhanger was definitely a shock IF It is taken at face value. Overall I thought it was a pretty good episode but I do agree the it was a little long.

I will add to the chorus of neglecting to show/explain how the Saviors got out. I guess they can still do that in the mid season premiere.

I also have a hard time believing they had enough people left to mount a 3 pronged attack like that. After the outposts had been cleared and the casualties of the Sanctuary their numbers have to be seriously depleted.

The junk yard people running off made that whole part of the season completely useless too.

I watch while I’m working so I missed how Maggie escaped.

I got the impression we aren't supposed to know yet. Wasn't everyone on the show wondering the same thing? I'm thinking that's the cliffhanger. We find out when it starts back what role Eugene played.

As for Maggie, I think they just let her go. Needed her to run her place and provide food.

Negan talks too much.

Still like the TV version of the Governor better.

More likeable villain.

Which part is the cliffhanger, how the Saviors got out? If so, that's not much of a cliffhanger. I doubt many are going to be waiting 3 months to find that out, if many even remember that tidbit.

Wow, apparently there's a ton of chatter online about
Chandler Riggs and Gimple. Apparently it wasn't Riggs was ready to move on from the show, Gimple decided on his own to kill off Carl after telling Riggs and his family he would be on the show for at least 3 more years.

Hmm... could be a desperation move after the past season and half of criticism and bleeding viewers (even though they still dominate Sunday nights non sports ratings).

There's got to be way more to this story of Carl suddenly getting killed off other than it being a change in story lines.

Not sure. According to Riggs they were told he'd be on the show at least 3 more years and the family was trying to decide if they should buy a house there. Gimple told them go ahead because Carl would be around a while (again according to Riggs), then he was suddenly told during filming of Episode 6 about the change in plans.

Riggs' father is the one sounding off the most, so maybe he became a problem and Gimple said "not worth it".

So was he bit this episode or during his little side adventure brining the Middle Eastern guy back?

Heard a theory that he offered himself up to Negan because he knew he was going to die any way.

Andrew Lincoln doesn't seem to be happy about Carl's death

Pretty sure Gimple already confirmed that Carl was offering himself up because he knew he was dead.

I just don't see Ricks motivation moving forward without Carl. Carl was the last link to his old life. Maybe Michonne will get pregnant.
