Just been lurking. Waiting on results before I declare our coach great or a disappointment. Kinda knocks me outta the FB threads lately.

I'll stop hijacking the thread and say this.
It's a zombie show. Got some good/bad human story lines but still just a zombie show. Surprised it garners so much strong reaction.

Glad to hear you're doing good, but you probably wouldn't tell me if you weren't, so Ill just keep sending good thoughts your way.

I have zero interest in anything zombie. Stop in the Zone sometime, highjacking threads with off topic conversation is welcome, and expected.

How do you know what characters live and die if you quit years ago?

Yep my kids talk about it when they call. I watch the episode breakdowns on YT too sometimes.

Look some people still are invested in it, and that's fine. You like it and that's ok. I like shows others don't..just giving my opinion. No offense intended.

It’s funny hearing someone complain about characters getting killed off when several a couple of seasons ago people were complaining the cast had become too safe.

I admit the show has lost steam for me but I don’t really think the quality has fallen that much. I still contend a huge chunk of season 2 and 3 were some of the lowest points for story telling. Longevity and boredom with the concept are it’s biggest problem for me.

Yes, forgot about Carol for a second. 4 remaining originals.

I was never one to complain about certain characters being safe. I have felt that certain characters were well written and what kept the show going. Glenn's character I really liked and thought he brought levity and humorous sarcasm. Unfortunately what really hurt this show was and still is the introduction of so many characters that the leads get watered down. I'm fully aware Glenn is one of the characters in the comic that had the notorious Negan death scene but that didn't HAVE to play out like that in the show. God forbid a show runner displays a bit of originality separate from the comic. Now they suddenly want to give us originality but it seems like they're choosing the worst way possible to do it.

Yeah, that's where I think the writing has gotten worse, because the way they get people into situations is bad. I've said it before, but there is no way these people that have survived this long in the walker aftermath would make some of the mistakes they make, and they don't really make them in the comic. But they have to create situations and tension and it unfortunately usually comes out looking dumb.

I just finished last of us On PS4 and the whole time I was thinking Elle is 1000 better than Carl. That game alone was written better than the last few seasons of TWD. Yes I still read the synopsis but the show is no good.

Throughout the show have you ever seen a walker bite that is just teeth? No big ripped out chunk of flesh per usual.

I follow it from the Forbes writers. The only episodes I’ve watched were the opener and mid season this year. I really don’t care for anything past the saviors as that is where I quit reading the comic. It’s really bad and if Carl lives, game over.
