The Walking Dead

Was watching something else, and didn't start watching with hubby til it was 2/3 of the way through. I said "what's happened so far?" and he said "Carl's been dying for an hour".

I don't know if I'll go back and watch the whole episode or not. And I hate it cause I used to LOVE this show! Couldn't wait to get to work Monday morning and talk about it. But it's not the same anymore.

My personal opinion, some of the comic book storylines doesn’t translate well onto screen.

The whole Negan storyline on the show just seems so drug out that it’s starting to get boring.

Not to mention, it’s hard to take Negan seriously. It’s nothing against JDM because he’s a phenomenal actor. He’s just not physically scary like he is in the comics.

The show was better back then when they actually focused on the more important characters.

Yeah, this show had a great run. Even epic. I loved it.

...but it might be time to hang it up. Would love for us to find out that the last couple years in the show the world has actually slowly gotten back to normal. There has been a cure, and the military has been slowly restoring order and taking back the country little by little.

During a tense standoff between the groups where they are about to completely wipe each other out, the military comes in out of nowhere and puts an end to it. There has been legislation granting everybody in the country still surviving a pass for all crimes, given the circumstances. All of a sudden the groups are thrown back into a world where there are plenty of resources, food, shelter, hot water, paying jobs, normal everyday life.

Everybody sits down afterward with a hot meal and normality around them, just looking at each other, confused and glazed over, like "wtf were we doing"?

And then as the credits roll, you see the shoreline of a beautiful beach. The camera zooms in and the body on the sand begins to twitch. Then slowly crawl. The camera pulls back until you recognize land mass. Austraila.

Straight up! I've been screaming this for a while now. Get rid of all the extra people nobody cares about.

I'm with everyone else though that Carl death lasted the whole show pretty much. I thought it was kind of funny actually how Tara just walked away from Carl and said bye with her finger. "Deuces! I'm out!" Bye Felicia! :)

Carl's dream world suddenly screwed by gardener Negan was pretty funny too.

Did anyone understand the very end of the show? They buried Carl and then Rick was sitting at the base of a tree looking like he was shot? Why did that seem like it just came out of nowhere?

I don’t think Negan ruined his dream. His dream was for peace. He kept saying it doesn’t have to be this way. He wants them to coexist. That’s why Negan is in the dream

K, what about Rick sitting up against a tree?

I haven’t made time for this episode yet but does anything happen besides Carl dying?

Don’t disagree with anything on here. I’m going to keep watching it. :)

This show seems to have gotten away from trying to be an interesting story with interesting characters to becoming mostly overacted monologues to generate the feels.

It's like their writing episodes just so Chris Hardwick can look at the camera and ask viewers to tweet their reaction and how they felt about what happened on Talking Dead.

Talking Dead is a better show than Walking Dead.
