It’s funny. Right before the message parlor in Atlanta I was telling my best friend “I wouldn’t be surprised if a mass shooting happens using an AR-15 soon because the Biden administration needs something to happen because of how hard they’re pushing for them “. It wasn’t a week later.

My wife, like me, learned cursive in school. Her signature is basically her name in print letters. Never had a check or any other document requiring a signature turned down.

A foreign language would make one more educated. Writing cursive is worthless when the alternative works just fine

So shop class, automotive and home economics were equally as worthless? They did away with those too and each generation gets more and more lazy. Connected? Maybe. Cursive is not even close to worthless. I imagine you don’t realize how many times most of us sign our names to paperwork of some sort on a weekly basis.

A signature is much different than writing cursive. I can sign my name but would struggle to take notes at work in cursive. It's a useless skill that provides no real function unlike the other subjects you listed

I had to learn cursive in school and when I sign a check or anything else, my signature has no commonality with the cursive we learned in school.

That’s BS. Cursive written effectively is a third faster. If you struggle, it doesn’t mean it’s useless. It means YOU need practice.

Who did away with them? We have welding classes, woodworking classes, agricultural classes, culinary classes, design classes - there is more offered now than ever.

Florida needs a governor and state board of education that are concerned with things more important than whether or not a particular district wants to have a mask mandate.
They embarrassed themselves on the national stage.

I disagree. Desantis is the governor that every state needs to combat unconstitutional mandates. And for the record he also just dedicated $ to amping up Floridas education. So he’s a step ahead of ya.
