The Weightlifters Thread

I saw a guy at the gym this week with 19" arms and 15" calves, so apparently you can build a house on toothpicks. I used to admire his arms, but now that I've seen his calves I'm just embarrassed for the guy.

Used to see that all the time, guys would be in there five days a week and only workin their arms and chest. No back, no legs, no core, asking for trouble IMO

Doing legs is overrated. I'm not saying it's not important. But it's overrated.

I like to laugh at the people that do that. Sadly I would say that's probably over 50% of the people that go to a gym. Also those are the same people that use all arm strength and concentration on exercises such as bench, lat pull downs, t-bar, and ext.

Man you are right. I can pinpoint only a few guys that I see doing legs, shoulders or back.

I love to burn out on bis and tris then take some creatine right before going out. It makes me look so swole and some people even hint that I might be juicing when I do that.

Hey, chicken legs are forever. Sometimes there's nothing you can do. :cray:

I've been hearing quite a bit about PHAT. Keep me posted on how its working.

My cut is coming along. As of yesterday I'm down 10 pounds, 212 from 222. Goal is 195-200 and I will re-evaluate where I'm at. May go a bit lower.

Layne Norton, dude. He's a natural bodybuilder and he had the worst chicken legs. They still look slightly small compared to his upper body, but he said to himself, "You can't squat 500 lbs with chicken legs." So he made that his target weight. He's won squat competitions pushing like 565 lbs. Nobody would dog his legs now.

I promise you if you put in a good 45 minutes once a week you may still have skinny legs, but you can define them to the point where nobody will dog you.

I approve this message. You can make your legs grow, hell try working them out twice a week.

Taking this week off. Got shin splints playing basketball saturday. Too many weeks in a row of doing legs day Thursday and then hoopin on Saturday finally took its toll.
