The Weightlifters Thread

Got a rough month ahead. Run in the Knoxville Half-Marathon tomorrow morning.

Then Monday starts Spring Practice. Running & Conditioning every morning at 6, combined with weightlifting at 12:30 and practice at 4:30. Taking 15 hours on top of that. I'll be lucky to stay awake in class.

Going to need a pre-workout of somekind to give me energy to get through the day. What do you all suggest? I'll probably just go with JACK3D again. I thought it worked well.

Plasmatic. No creatine monohydrate. Bought it at Vitamin Shoppe across from West Town mall. Grape flavor is awesome.

Appreciate it. I don't live too far from West Town, i'll have to give it a try.

Also, what about this compound20 being talked about? What is it and where can I find it?

I'm a week and a half into compound 20 with no noticeable effects. Supposedly it takes effect approximately 2 weeks in. I'll let you know if I notice any changes in my workout or body. I'm combining it with oxyelite pro.

It is kinda expensive. You need two bottles for an 8 week course and it's like $45 a bottle. Buy online, it's cheaper.

I like assualt by muscle pharm or C4 by cellucor for a pre-workout

After a week and a half of taking the C20, all of the sudden, I felt the effects come on strong today. I work out Mon - Thurs, so it's been 4 days since my last workout, but I have a ridiculous pump on my chest right now. Not only that, but my strength has increased considerably over last weeks workout. I felt like I had an additional burst of energy to push me through extra reps, and at a higher weight, too.

OxyElite doin it's thing, too. I'm sweating like a whore in church!

I really let myself go on that cruise... They had a gym but trying to use free weights on the ocean is exhilarating for all the wrong reasons.

Getting back into it srs.

I've heard some good things about Assault. I'll probably have to give that a try as well. Anything to get me through the day.

Orange Mango tastes pretty good by PW standards. I'm using one called Beast Mode right now, works great. Tastes like ass tho.

My appetite has been insatiable the past few days. Compound 20? Or is it just 'cuz I'm a growin' boy, like my momma used to say?

Assembled a post-workout lunch at work out of the remaining groceries I have.

3 cans of tuna
1/4 bag of colby jack cubes
2 bananas

It's like the most separated you could ever get your 3 calorie sources for a meal.

54g protein, 3g fat, 3g carb from tuna
14g protein, 16g fat, 0g carb from cheese
4g protein, 3g fat, 102g carb from bananas

lol, im bored. Kill me.

What am I missing to complete this epic meal?

Dieting for the first time this year. Will probably only do it strictly for this week, and then I'll just switch to a diet that is more balanced, simply just avoiding junk food.

I started on Monday morning, weighing 205 lbs. I'm hoping to be at < 195 lbs by Friday. We'll see. I cut out all carbs except a handful of nuts/day and a bowl of oatmeal every other day.

And to anybody trying to survive on this diet....KFC grilled chicken is a savior.

Steel cut oatmeal is the shizzle for rizzle. My breakfast every morning now, with strawberries, blueberries, a little cinnamon, and sweetened with turbinado sugar.

If you're bodybuilding, you need carbs. It's a good way to crash diet if you're relatively inactive, but if you work out regularly in any capacity beyond walking, carbs are a necessity. I tried it for three weeks, terrible decision.

Yeah. That's why only do it for a week at a time. Truthfully it's only 5 days. I can shred in that time. Then the plan is to add carbs, but nothing but whole grains and fruits and vegetables. I'll cheat within reason on the weekends. Hopefully I don't get sloppy and can keep that up all summer.
